Clowe, Powe Don't Travel to DC; Miller, Bickel Sent Home to Rest Wrists
Pat Leonard at the Daily News reports that tonight's line-up will remain the same, as Marc Staal (eye), Ryane Clowe (undisclosed) and Darroll Powe (concussion) are out tonight.
Leonard adds that neither Clowe nor Powe traveled with the team to Washington.
...never like to hear that two guys with possible concussions weren't able to fly. Usually means that the symptoms...
Bickel, Miller sent home with injuries
Per Andrew Gross, defenseman Stu Bickel and forward J.T. Miller were sent home from the Rangers taxi squad for wrist injuries. This doesn’t have much of an effect on the Rangers, but neither Bickel nor Miller will be available as injury replacements.

New York Rangers Recall Ten Players Including Stu Bickel
The New York Rangers have called up ten players from their AHL farm system to help as a practice squad for the NHL playoffs. Amongst the ten players, Micheal Haley will be the lucky one to travel with the team to Washington in the Game 1 showdown.

Bickel clears waivers, unhappy with treatment
As expected, Stu Bickel cleared waivers and will be sent to the Connecticut Whale in the AHL for tonight’s game. Bickel was not happy with the way he was treated, as Andrew Gross has some interesting quotes:
“It is what it is,” Bickel said. “It’s been tough for me to get an opportunity to play any minutes on the backend to develop some confidence.”

“I came up last...
Bickel Clears Waivers, Will Play for Whale Today
NYR Stu Bickel clears waivers. Will play for CT today.

...i know Bickel struggled mightily this season, but I'm happy to see he cleared. He's still fairly young and as we've seen this year, toughness is an important part of any line-up. And if you don't remember, he was actually pretty good for the Rangers...
It’s time to put an end to the Stu Bickel era
A microcosm of Bickel’s last year in blue.
When Stu Bickel came to the Rangers as a midseason call up last season, he made a lasting impression on the team, the coaching staff, and the fans. He played with that edge that the Rangers lacked since Michael Sauer went down with his concussion. But, we started seeing some questionable aspects about his game, and it started affecting...
Blog: Stu Bickel’s Growing Pains
Pretty much everyone knows that I’m a big Stu Bickel fan. While he may not have had a spectacular rookie season with the Rangers last season, he won my heart. He showed that with grit and determination, he could play in the NHL (longer than most had expected him to). But his rookie season wasn’t [...]
Player Review: Stu Bickel
Stu Bickel was not expected to remain with the New York Rangers long after being recalled by the team in December of 2011. However, it turns out that he would go on to play 51 regular season games in addition to 18 postseason contests before the end of the 2011-12 campaign. Who once was intended to be a temporary spot-filler suddenly molded into a permanent skater on the blue-line...
Eminger for Bickel Swap Needs to Happen
There is no point in continuing to keep Stu Bickel in the lineup.
I'm not saying that because he is of no use to the team or because he's been a liability out on defense since neither of those, for the most part, are true. I'm saying it because quite simply, the coaching staff does not use him. Last night's 2-1 win over the Washington Capitals fell just five minutes...
Is there a point to Stu Bickel right now?
In last night’s 3-2 victory that sent the series to a seventh game, Stu Bickel was nowhere to be found. In fact, he only played three shifts the entire game for less than two minutes of ice time. In the Rangers 2-0 loss in Game Five, Bickel played just seven shifts for less than five minutes of ice time. Game Four? Seven shifts for 3:33 of ice time. Game Three? Ten and 9:18. Game...
