The world community is still taken back by the replacement of children performers during the Bejing opening ceremony and looking to discredit China further after the poor air quality for international athletes.
China would be smart to keep it very pc, especially since the young man is of South African decent. China may be new to the question of an African in the mainstream and therefore covering one as we do state side will take developing. However, it will be interesting to see how they cover him and how he is marketed to the people.
