The United Football League or UFL has cancelled their 2011 season and will force a championship game to be played against the Las Vegas Loco’s and the Virginia Destroyers in order to save money for the 2012 season. Reports are the players will not be paid for the final game and will have to pay their way home. Agents are advising the Loco’s and Destroyers to not play in what could be the UFL‘s final game. As odd as this situation is it seems to go along with what the UFL has represented. The UFL has always suffered from two major problems, timing and lack of a profit. The UFL schedule started on September 15th and the four teams in the UFL were scheduled to play until October 28th. The UFL was forced to move the start of the season due to their plans of taking advantage of the NFL lockout. The season would normally start in August. August or September it doesn’t matter.
