RUMORS & GOSSIP

Man chooses jail over ratting out LSU player over memorabilia

Fletcher Sanders’ love for the LSU football program is serious, so serious that the 25-year-old Baton Rouge native opted to go to jail over potentially hurting the Tigers.  Sanders, an employee at a Baton Rouge shoe store, sold on eBay a pair of gloves and game-worn cleats used by an LSU player during the Tigers’ upset win against then-No. 3 Ole Miss in October. When Baton...

Yankees owner Hal Steinbrenner maintained Wednesday that the team has spending limits, but he also didn’t close the door on dishing out cash to improve the club. “We’re still the New York Yankees, all you guys...

Giants had Sammy Watkins ranked ahead of Odell Beckham

The New York Giants look like geniuses for selecting Odell Beckham Jr. at No. 12 overall in the 2014 draft. Aikman upset with Skip Bayless for questioning his sexuality

ESPN First Take co-host Skip Bayless has a history of delivering controversial statements and opinions to generate buzz and elicit reactions from viewers. He recently called Johnny Manziel an “alcoholic” and a “liar.” It was quite ironic when you think about it—being that Bayless once lied about his high school basketball career. But that’s not the only thing he’s...
