2011 Arizona Diamondbacks Recap - The Bullpen
The Diamondbacks improved by 29 games from 2010 to 2011, and the biggest area of improvement was in the bullpen. The 2010 bullpen was one of the worst in baseball history, but the 2011 version actually was a strength for the team. The Pittsburgh Pirates have signed right-handed pitcher Aaron Heilman to a Minor League deal, according to a tweet by Jenifer Langosch of MLB.com. He was immediately assigned to Triple-A Indianapolis.
