First Round: Luke Joeckel, OT, Texas A&M
Joeckel was certainly the best player available, but the only problem is that Jacksonville already has a solid starter at LT. Will Joeckel be a right tackle? It's a bit ridiculous to draft a RT second overall in the draft. I think they should have gone defense and taken Jordan. I hate faulting a team for taking the best player...
Denard Robinson is a Jacksonville Jaguar.
The Michigan quarterback turned running back turned receiver was made the second pick of Round 5, No. 135 overall, by the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Jaguars earlier on Saturday selected South Carolina speedster Ace Sanders, meaning that there may be some very creative plans in the works for a struggling offense.
Robinson was the first Michigan...
The Jacksonville Jaguars selected former South Carolina football player Ace Sanders in the fourth round of the NFL Draft.
Sanders set a record in 2012 with 429 yards on 28 punt returns. He also caught 45 passes for 531 yards and nine touchdowns. He should work out well for Jacksonville as they took him as the 101st pick.
2012 stats: 45, 531 yards, 9 TDs, 2 punt return TDs...
Draft Day is here, so it’s certainly fitting to look at this year’s crop of oddball names in the draft. In the past we’ve seen winners like Jacquizz, Chykie, Prince, Rowdy, and Shuyler. This year’s run of names doesn’t disappoint.
10. Ace Sanders – Wide Receiver, South Carolina
The name of a winner. And Spaceman.
9. Ray Ray Armstrong – Strong Safety, Miami
South Carolina wide receiver Ace Sanders is a big play guy in both the passing game and as a punt returner. He checks in at No. 16 on the FoxSportsNext 2013 NFL Draft Rankings.

Seven Players in Seven Rounds that will be worth the pick
1st Round – It is hard to judge a player in this round because let’s be honest if a player is considered a first rounder, he should automatically be worth the pick. So my best value player in the first round is between...
In the 2012 Draft, the Indianapolis Colts selected their franchise quarterback in Andrew Luck. The Colts had one of the biggest, if not the best turn around seasons in NFL history with going from 2-14 in 2011, to 11-5 in 2012. The Colts made great strides and 2012 but are still missing pieces to move them into the upper tier of the NFL elite teams. The Colts have a great future ahead...
Here’s a look at some the receivers who improved and hurt their draft stock at this year’s NFL Combine.
Tavon Austin, WVU:
It was easy to see that Tavon Austin was a weapon at the collegiate level, but how he would translate to the NFL was a question that was less unclear. While he seemed like a lock for a top 50 pick, it would have been understandable for some...
After QB, RB and WR workouts today at the 2013 NFL Combine, there are several notes to stick away as we look to answer the question: What players have the full package in terms of objective numbers? In the end, Marquise Goodwin WR (Texas) blew away onlookers as he posted a final forty time of 4.27 (beat out versatile speedster Tavon Austin 4.34) to earn what most likely will...

Heading into the weekend, Notre Dame linebacker Manti Te’o and Georgia linebacker Alec Ogletree seem to have the most to gain after...

Jimmy already schooled you guys up on the "Highlight Monday" concept last week, so let's roll right into offseason mode with South Carolina wideout and return specialist Ace Sanders. We made a pretty big deal around here about Jadeveon Clowney making the best tackle in the history of football, but in all honesty it might not have even been the best play by a Gamecock...

South Carolina rallied late in the 4th quarter to win the 2013 Outback Bowl 33-28. The Gamecocks scored with 11 seconds left to take the lead for good. Overall, the game was uneven. There were very bright spots and puzzling shortcomings.
Over the last three years South Carolina has created a formula for success. Generally speaking, the defense plays well; the running...

The Capital One Bowl has been entertaining so far.
Early in the 1st quarter deep in Nebraska’s own territory, Nebraska punter Brett Maher’s punt was blocked by Georgia’s Shawn Williams and bounced into the end zone. A handful of Georgia players dive on the ball. If anyone of the Bulldogs corrals the football it is a Georgia touchdown. However, the ball squirts out of everyone’s...

Wofford coach Mike Ayers had the same winning expectations coming into No. 12 South Carolina as he does each week in the Southern Conference. His disappointment at losing is also just as huge.
