The Colorado Rockies have signed infielder/ outfielder Alfredo Amezaga to a Minor League deal according to the team's official Twitter account. He will receive an invitation to the Major League Spring Training.

The Marlins have designated Alfredo Amezaga for assignment, reports Joe Capozzi of the Palm Beach Post.
In 44 at bats with the Marlins, the 33 year-old was hitting just .136.

I feel a little silly since Alfredo Amezaga was one of the players I was promoting to help fill-in while Beltran was gone, I hadn't realized he was injured.Amezaga had micro-fracture surgery in July and is just now being cleared to start running, reportedly he will work out for multiple teams at the end of the week.If healthy he could fill in for any of the players who were injured...

The Florida Marlins have released Alfredo Amezaga, according to a Tweet by Joe Frisaro of MLB.com.
