Good News for White Sox Bullpen

Zach Putnam has been activated from the disabled list (DL) today.  Prior to hitting the DL, Putnam boasted a 2.35 ERA and a 1.20 Walks/Hits per Inning Pitched (WHIP) over 38.1 innings. Putnam’s 7.51 K/9 ratio is second in the bullpen to only Javy Guerra (8.49 K/9). Anyone who follows the Sox knows that we could use all the bullpen help we can get. #WhiteSox returned Zach Putnam...

The longest homers for the week ending August 7th

Another week of bombs is behind us. Some of the names are familiar, some are not. However, one thing is for sure – a couple of these blasts are truly majestic. 1. Oswaldo Arcia vs Andre Rienzo, 468 feet (August 3rd) Arcia nearly hit this ball out of US Cellular Field. I don’t care where you’re playing, but when that happens, you know you’ve put a charge into a baseball....

Series Preview: Royals at Chicago White Sox, June 13-15

Fresh off a series with the division leading Detroit Tigers, the Chicago White Sox welcome the Kansas City Royals to town with open arms. Just like the Royals, the White Sox are coming off a good series against an AL Central division foe, but that isn't quite as newsworthy for the White Sox as they've been pretty solid against the division this year. The Royals have not been...

Royals vs. White Sox – Series Preview (6/13-6/15)

Coming off a 5-2 homestand, the Royals (33-32) are over .500 for the first time since May 18. Kansas City finds themselves just two games behind the suddenly ice-cold Detroit Tigers in the A.L. Central, and they’re just a single game back of the second wild card spot. It doesn’t make any sense how, but after 65 games, the Kansas City Royals are very much so in contention for...
