The Detroit Pistons picked up Anthony Tolliver's $3 million option after the team didn't draft a power forward on Thursday, a team source confirmed. The Pistons could have released Tolliver for $400,000 but never intended to do so. Tolliver was traded to the Pistons by the Phoenix Suns in December.

Who the Detroit Pistons should take in the 2015 NBA Draft

Croatian wing Mario Hezonja would be an excellent fit for a team that desperately needs perimeter shooting. When the Detroit Pistons get on the clock to make the eighth overall selection of the 2015 NBA Draft, the team will likely be looking for a perimeter shooter. Despite signing former Lakers sharpshooter Jodie Meeks and acquiring former Phoenix Sun and Charlotte Hornet Anthony...

It's business as usual for Pistons ahead of Josh Smith's odd homecoming

Jonas Jerebko hasn't seen enough of Marshawn Lynch's act to get the phrasing right, but that's where he was headed when he was asked about guarding Josh Smith Saturday night. "We've got a shootaround tomorrow, and we'll see what the coaches tell us," Jerebko repeated three times. When asked if he was trying to mimic Lynch's now-famous "I'm here so I don't get fined" line from Super...

Rebounding likely determines Suns' ceiling

The Suns' commitment to playing faster -- which includes the companion subset of utilizing, on occasion, even smaller players -- seems to just beg for trouble. That could be one notion for those disturbed by the team's inability to collect a rebound and finish a defensive possession last season. With the Suns 22nd among teams in defensive-rebounding percentage, their rank of 26th...
