Pereira: Replay needs revisiting after lost TD
The Detroit Lions had a great 2011. They finished the season with a 10-6 record and made the playoffs for the first time since 1999.
Detroit won't, however, remember the first day of 2012 very fondly. The Lions lost to the Packers 45-41 on Sunday, but had a couple of tough calls go against them that clearly could have made a difference in the outcome.

Detroit Lions @ Oakland Raiders: 2nd quarter running diary
Lions face 3rd and 2. Stafford finds Megatron crossing the middle with a 2 yard yard pass...who then adds 21 in YAC! Lions at midfield!
Beast personified.
2nd and 10...BLITZ...SACK. Stafford loses 11. UGH.
3rd and forver, Stafford overthrows Megatron. Would have been short, anywayA promising drive was killed off by the Raiders sack.
But a nice punt by the...

Santa Claus Gets All The Hot Cheerleaders
It’s no secret that women love baseball players, and they’re also pretty big suckers for Santa. So when you combine the two of them into one man with an engagement ring in tow, well it just flat out sucks for the rest of us. In a game that was highlighted by the year’s biggest phantom whistle controversy, the New Orleans Saints barely eeked out a 22-17 win over the Tennessee...

Video of Nats minor leaguer dressed as Santa, proposing to his cheerleader girlfriend.
While the Washington Nationals Hot Stove continues to burn white-hot (when Doug Slaten news is big news, you know you're in trouble) we'd be remiss if we didn't say *something* about Nats minor leaguer Ben Graham dressing up as Santa and proposing to his girlfriend (a Tenessee Titans cheerleader) this past Sunday.
Bryce Harper approves, so we do to:

Nationals minor leaguer proposes to cheerleader girlfriend while dressed as Santa
Last year in Hagerstown, Nats right-handed prospect Ben Graham went 4-4 with a 3.30 ERA.
But even if his baseball career never advances beyond that point, Graham is an American hero for his exploits during halftime of Sunday’s Titans-Saints game. From WKRN in Nashville:
While going through their halftime routine during Sunday’s Titans-Saints game at LP Field, the cheerleaders...

Don't overlook the kicking game
The Lions will have to stick with Australian rules punter Ben Graham since Ryan Donahue is out for the season with a quad injury. Graham hasn't been stellar. Hard to tell if he'll wow anyone tonight based on his previous couple of games. For the Lions, he got six punts for 244 yards (40.7 average

Lions forced to punt at own 49
Ben Graham's punt generated a few groans here at Ford Field. It was an attempt that sailed to the Packers' 22, a 29-yard punt. The punt went out of bounds at the 22. Aaron Rodgers takes over. Remember he's completed a league-high 72 percent of his passes through the Packers' first 10 games.
