Poll Results: Which former BYU player in the NFL had the best season?
By a ratio of almost 3:1, Dennis Pitta (74%) was voted to have had the best season in the NFL by former Brigham Young Cougars. Brett Keisel came in second with 16% of the vote, followed by Austin Collie (6%), Brady Poppinga (3%), and John Beck (1%). My vote also goes to Pitta. Pitta saw his role in the Baltimore Ravens offense increase dramatically. He played well in two playoff...

Respect comes from preparation for Laurinaitis
ST. LOUIS James Laurinaitis walked from a shower area to his locker Friday at Rams Park and passed fellow linebacker Brady Poppinga. Over the last five months, Poppinga has come to respect Laurinaitis' mental and physical approach to his craft honed over three seasons. But one recent episode captured Laurinaitis' grit, and Poppinga gestured his teammate closer to hear his praise...

Arizona Cardinals 19, St. Louis Rams 13 in O.T.
The Rams controlled this game for the most part, but despite having a lot of yards offensively, they didn’t put many points on the scoreboard. Sam Bradford returned to start this game and he completed 23 of 36 passes for 255 yards with 0 TD passes and 1 INT. Steven Jackson was solid once again with 29 carries for 130 yards (4.5 ypc) as he was a workhorse for the Rams. WRs...

Trip to Green Bay a special one for 2 Rams
St. Louis rookie tight end Lance Kendricks has fond memories of Lambeau Field.
Growing up near Milwaukee, Kendricks spent many Sundays cheering on the Green Bay Packers from the stands.
''Went there a lot,'' he said. ''I always dreamed about playing there one day.''
That day is here. Kendricks, a second-round draft choice from Wisconsin, will take...

St Louis Position Battles to Watch in the Rams vs. Chiefs Contest
With the St Louis Rams a day away from their week-three preseason contest with the Kansas City Chiefs, there are still plenty of starting positions that haven’t been decided. Laurinaitis confident chemistry will develop
ST. LOUIS Experience surrounds him, so James Laurinaitis is confident the chemistry between linebackers will come.
Laurinaitis stood 10 feet away from fellow linebacker Brady Poppinga, a seven-year veteran, after practice Thursday at Rams Park. Each player spoke about how they can serve as the spirit of the St. Louis Rams' defense.
Both share traits making that possible. They...

2011 Offseason Acquisition Analysis – Post Preseason Game 1
Here’s a look at some of the Rams’ key 2011 acquisitions after we have (potentially) received our first look at each of them as a St Louis Ram.
OLB Ben Leber: Ben signed a 1 year $1.25M contract. He previously played for the Vikings and is a pretty solid veteran player. He’s coming into his 10th season and I would count this as a good pick up.
OT Quinn Ojinnaka: Quinn...

Rams Officially Sign Leber
After a few false starts and back ups and all but assumed signings, the Rams have announced that they have signed veteran OLB Ben Leber and he will officially put pen to paper tomorrow. With Leber, the Rams have quietly upgraded their defense in every position that needed attention.

Rams Sign OLB Ben Leber
The Rams nabbed another outside linebacker to complete the restructuring of their outside linebacker corps with Ben Leber, previously with Minnesota. St Louis Rams Sign RB Cadillac Williams, LB Brady Poppinga
The Rams filled two roles earlier this week with the signing of running back Cadillac Williams and linebacker Brady Poppinga.
