DTW News and Notes
Let’s start with what remains the most pressing question other than Why is Brandon Inge still a Tiger? and that is, who will be pitching on April 15th in the D against the Pale Hose? Due to a silly opening weekend where the Tigers play 3 games in 5 days, I’m guessing that April 15th will be the first day for the 5th spot in the rotation. Future rotation guys Turner...

Brandon Inge: Attitude Separates Him From Most Big Leaguers
Brandon Inge is a member of the Detroit Tigers. Yes, still. He is a member of the Tigers because he wants to be a member of the Tigers. He is proud to call Detroit his home, and nothing will ever change his mind. Not even after being demoted following his offensive struggles this season.
But most importantly, Inge is a member of the Tigers due to his positive attitude.
Inge was having...

Where Should The Detroit Tigers Play Miguel Cabrera?
After the shock of the Prince Fielder signing wore off, the biggest question for the Detroit Tigers was how Jim Leyland would manage to give all of his players enough at bats over the next few seasons. The concerns were focused on Prince Fielder, Miguel Cabrera and Victor Martinez. And rightfully so, given that when healthy those are the Tigers top 3 hitters.
Now that we know that...

Inge's 9th inning homer lifts Tigers over Twins
DETROIT -- Brandon Inge swears he doesn't save his home-run swing for dramatic moments.
It is starting to look a little suspicious, though.
In a season where Inge is hitting .194 and has endured a trip back to the minors in his 11th season, Saturday's walk-off homer was just his third of the season -- and he's earned a standing ovation every time.
The first one came...

Inge’s defense at the hot corner has been consistently very good, according to UZR/150, aside from 2004, his first season there...
