If the season ended this instant, the Indians would be in the playoffs. The Cleveland Indians. Playoffs.
Well, they’d be in the one game Wild Card play-in game, but still 1 .
The Indians are really getting by on the skin of their teeth, aren’t they? A win is a win is a win and and a cheap, rain soaked win versus the worst team in baseball...

No wonder they have lost 103 times.

If only the Astros faced Seattle pitching every night.

Hoes accounted for 3 RBI apiece in an offensive outburst that plated six runs over the first three innings and chased Seattle lefty Joe Saunders (11-14) from the game. The effort helped secure a 13-2 win over the Mariners and Houston’s first series victory since Aug. 23-25 against Toronto...
Miguel Cabrera put a dent in the field at Minute Maid Park Sunday (after putting a few in their left field seats Saturday). Cabrera fielded Astros third baseman Brandon Laird’s grounder diving to his left. Instead of getting up to throw to first, Cabby went to the unconventional barrel roll/throw from his backside combo (video provided by Detroit4Lyfe). Hey, whatever works...

"I was like, ‘Dang, we got a chance to get him." (Tyler Moore on Harper's throw, via Washington Post, 3/7/2013)
Unfortunately the ball got away...
This may be the most Bryce Harper thing ever.
Sure it’s only spring training, and the chances that the Nationals phenom would try a throw like this during the regular season is less than 5% (OK, maybe 10%), but that doesn’t make it any less impressive. Astros 3rd baseman Brandon Laird almost learned the hard way that if you take a big turn rounding first after a single, Bryce...
