First, a few notes on call-ups. Anyone on the 40-man roster is eligible to be called up starting September 1 (Tuesday).
Of course, the fact that the Double-A and Triple-A season last another week, you may not see many call-ups until next week.
Any player for the Rangers' farm...

A's deal Rangers another big blow in playoff chase
ARLINGTON, Texas It's a bad combination for the Texas Rangers at the worst time.

Brandon McCarthy's third start since coming of the DL didn't go all that well. He lasted three innings, plus to hitters, and allowed four runs. Doug Mathis nearly pulled off a great escape, but Rajai Davis' two-out blooper to right field just eluded a diving David Murphy...

The final home game of the Rangers 2009 season ended pretty poorly.
We were actually winning 5-0 going into the 8th inning. Brandon McCarthy was pitching quite well, actually. 7.2 IP, 6 hits, only two runs, neither of which were earned. Then the bullpen stunk up the joint. In fact...

Brandon McCarthy walked Kurt Suzuki to start the sixth inning, and he stole second base as Jack Cust struck out. Cust was McCarthy's final hitter, though, as manager Ron Washington has brought Neftail Feliz in with a runner at second with one out and the Rangers trailing 3-1.

Jimbo and Flip had David Murphy as the Ranger with the most hits. Larry B had the bullpen allowing two runs. No one else had any other category correct.
