When Will Nimmo Make His MLB Debut?

J.J. Cooper of Baseball America had a glowing assessment when a reader asked him the following: When do you think Brandon Nimmo will make his MLB debut? Do you see him as a top of the order hitter? Nimmo was one of the best players in the Florida State League during the first half of the 2014 season. He struggled after a midseason promotion to the Eastern League, but much of that...

Brandon Nimmo Scouting Report

Brandon Nimmo, the highest draft pick ever to come out of Wyoming seems to have finally found his grove this season. MMO Fan Shot: A Case To Trade For Josh Bell

An MMO Fan Shot by Jason Bay The case for Josh Bell as I see it is threefold. 1) The longstanding belief that it is having many good players together for as much of their careers as possible, all at the same time that is the critical difference in how high a team can rise. (Think Rollins, Utley, Howard) 2) Combining Bell with Brandon Nimmo is a perfect fit as they compliment each...

Alderson’s Draft Picks Are Indication Of Long Term Plan

The hardest thing about building a winning team is the anticipation. Before 1996, there were no guarantees that Derek Jeter, Mariano Rivera and the rest of a very young Yankees team would prosper at the same time, if at all. The same can be said about the 1986 Mets. Frank Cashen took Daryl Strawberry with the #1 overall pick in the 1980 draft. It happened to be the very first pick...

Heading into 2015, can we expect anyone in the pipeline to make the jump to the big leagues? According...
