Argos defence comes up big!
After having trouble scoring once they reached the red-zone, as a result of turnovers, the Boatmen rally in the 4th quarter and beat the Lions 24-20 at the Rogers Centre last night.
With the score 20-10 for BC, Argonaut QB Cleo Lemon hits Brandon Rideau for a 20 yard TD at 8:57, closing the gap at 20-17. A few minutes later, Byron Parker snares a Travis Lulay pass and returns it...

May Brandon Rideau Haunt You In Your Dreams
The world is coming to an end. No, not really, but the decision to once again cut Brandon Rideau goes to show what we already knew: the Bears don’t know anything about wide receivers.
I feel like the Bears had a golden opportunity to make a definitive statement about the direction of the receiving corps [...]

How I Would Trim The Chicago Bears Roster to 53
The NFL’s annual call to arms is the final roster cut, requiring teams to trim 22 players and reach 53 for the start of the regular season.
The Bears’ final preseason game with Cleveland will give opportunities to candidates for the final four or five roster spots to make their final push.

Tuesday Night Rodeo
Bears Receivers Bracing For WorstUnless something bizarre happens on Thursday night against the Browns, I think the Bears are pretty set with their receiving corps and my final guess is that Brandon Rideau will be the odd man out. I think the club keeps six on the roster. Hester and Bennett are the starters. Iglesias and Knox are the rookies. Davis is the...

Bears receivers on bubble await their fates
A couple may have to go after final exhibition Thursday night
Because the Bears are unlikely to give up on Juaquin Iglesias and Johnny Knox, that would leave two spots at most for Rashied Davis, Devin Aromashodu and Brandon Rideau. Davis could have an advantage because of his play on special teams.

No Quick Resolution in Order For Chicago Bears Wide Receiver Situation
Remember Kenny Christian.
In 2002, the Bears had this former Raiders receiver in training camp and preseason making a lot of plays—so many that it was reported Christian had “all but made the team” with his performance.
Then came roster cuts and the only thing Christian had made was the waiver wire.Keep that little bit of history in mind when assessing the Bears...

Nobody Wideouts Stating Their Case
The Chicago Bears took a weak receiving corps to Bourbonnais for training camp, but two unknowns, Brandon Rideau and Devin Aromashodu, have both taken this opportunity to get noticed. After playing well in a 17-3 preseason win over the Giants, Bear Report's Beth Gorr spent some time with them.
