The 2012 Detroit Tigers are going to be the most exciting team to watch in the majors this year, and it will be almost video game like to watch this year! It seems like Mr. Ilitch and company have assembled a team that is built to bash teams out of the park. The only question is… will it work?

Player Profile #198: Brennan Boesch | OF | DET
For two seasons now Boesch has put up very good numbers in the first half followed by a disappointing second half. It’s the reason why he’s more of a late-round flier than anything else. We’ll have to see how his power comes back after tearing a thumb ligament that forced him to miss the final 1 1/2 months last year. In his career he has 605 at-bats in either...

TigsTown 2011 Player Capsule: Brennan Boesch
After a blistering first half of 2010, Brennan Boesch had an equally frigid second half, leaving many to wonder what type of player the Tigers would get in 2011. Boesch for the most part split the difference at the plate with a solid overall season, but some questions still linger.

Brennan Boesch Player Projection No. 141
Key Stats: Brennan Boesch is going to be 27 years old and has just completed his 2nd “full” year of big league play. He gave us a solid .283/.341/.458 slash line in 2011 good enough for him to be deserving of a roster spot in 10 team leagues. He increased his power last season hitting two more HR’s in 40 less AB’s over the previous season while also striking out less. We...

Delving Deeper into Delmon Young
When the Detroit Tigers traded for Delmon Young in mid-August, I was ecstatic, as many Tigers fans were. We had just gotten a young power hitting outfielder with potential for seemingly nothing, and Brennan Boesch had been recently diagnosed with a thumb injury, one which the Tigers’ staff had no clue the severity of. Magglio Ordonez was also amidst a season-long struggle...

Boesch v. Ordonez at #3, the choice is clear
Enough is enough. It is time to get Magglio Ordonez out of the 3rd spot in the Detroit Tigers’ batting order and put Brennan Boesch where he rightfully belongs.
When Magglio was coming off the DL from his ankle rehab stint I urged anyone who cared to read my article that Maggs was better suited as the #2 with Boesch cranking fastballs out of the 3rd slot in the order.
The article...

Brennan Boesch hit a solo home run off Mike Adams amid an eighth-inning rain shower, sending the Detroit Tigers to a 6-5 victory over the Texas Rangers on Tuesday night.

Game 2011.103: Tigers at White Sox
My fantasy Tigers lineup against a righty:
1. Guillen, 2B. He’s second on the team in OBP. Moving him up in the lineup would mean an additional base runner every two games for Cabrera.
2. Maggs, RF. He’s hitting .321 with a .386 OPS over the past month, and though his power is gone, he can go the other way and make contact when he needs to. I realize that Peralta...
