COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) -- The Columbus Blue Jackets placed defensemen Brett Lebda and Marc Methot on injured reserve Friday and added defenseman Dalton Prout and goalie Allen York to the roster on emergency recalls.
Methot broke his jaw Thursday night in a home loss to Dallas. Lebda broke a thumb Feb. 3 in an overtime win at Anaheim.

Lebda happy to get a chance in Columbus
The signing of veteran defenseman Brett Lebda has taken on added importance in recent weeks as Blue Jackets defenseman keep falling prey to injuries.

Happy Hudler's Excellent Adventure 8
You know what time it is? Happy Hudler time!Maybe Brett Lebda could learn a thing or two about taking some time off from the NHL. Then again Lebda couldn't learn anything from his time in the NHL, other than Toronto will grossly overpay sup-par defencemen. This weeks evidence shows that Happy is a man of many talents.Follow the jump for more

Vid Of The Day - One And Done
There is Brett Lebda's lone goal last season for the Leafs. He played in 41 games, had 1g, 3a and was a -14.
Another Lebda fun fact is that he managed to be a -3 in a 9-3 Leafs' win last year.
The signing is pretty much being universally panned by hockey fans around the league. Lots of stuff like:
"Well that makes sense, if you are going to Fail For Nail leave nothing...

Is Brett Lebda Worth 1.45 Million?
When one sees these comparisons it is quit interesting how a role player has an effect on their team. But you could also add in there that Brett Lebda has only recorded 1 point over the 22 games he has played this season. Now the Toronto Maple Leafs are no Detroit Red Wings, but if the same comparison was done when Brett Lebda was playing in Detroit I am sure those numbers would...

Pound Per Inch, Who Are The Biggest Leafs?
This is a quick-ish post, but here is a quick look at some numbers I took a look at after Brett Lebda signed with Toronto. The first thing I noted when Lebda signed was that he's listed as being 5'9. Not exactly truculent sized, and actually it's a height that most NHL GM's don't actively seek out. The next thing I noticed was that Lebda is listed at 195lbs, the same weight as the...

Red Wings afternoon ramble: On Lebda, Commodore and bobbleheads
I’m not even sure what I’m supposed to say about the fact that, according to Greg “Puck Daddy” Wyshynski, the Tennessean’s Josh Cooper and many others, former Red Wings defenseman Brett Lebda went from boasting that he was playing in the “real” Hockeytown and would prove his doubters wrong while establishing himself as a top-four defenseman in Toronto to becoming a...

Lebda Signs PTO With Springfield
from Garry Brown of MassLive, Brett Lebda, a 32-year-old defenseman who has quaffed champagne from the Stanley Cup, joined the Springfield Falcons this week as a step toward reviving his hockey career.
He was at home in Chicago, skating every day and waiting for a call after finding himself out of work at free-agency time in July.
The call came Monday from Chris MacFarland, assistant...

My First Thoughts on Brett Lebda
Sigh! Has anyone told Burke that it's okay to offer players under $1,000,000? It's especially true if they're 5'9 defensemen who have never played in a top four pairing in their career. That's what our fearless leader has done today, as many of us prepare to embrace the mediocrity that his two NHL-level free agent signings provide. This is contract number 48 out 50, so at best we...

Mitchell and Lebda – A Not-so Dynamic Duo
When you think about easy targets for angry Leafs fans, perhaps there are none easier than John Mitchell and Brett Lebda.
