Earlier today the Yankees announced that they would be adding Brian Bruney to the WS roster and dropping third catcher Francisco Cervelli. I like having that extra arm in the pen. Hopefully Bruney can pick up where he left off towards the end of the regular season.

The Yankees just got back the result of Chien-Ming Wang's MRI, and its bad. From Pete Abraham:

With thanks to @glenngiangrande for the idea.In 2007, Brian Bruney was not very good. Among fans, he had acquired the nickname "BBrian BBruney", and was eventually sent down to make room on this roster for a miracle prospect by the name of Joba Chamberlain.Life wasn't...

On Saturday, Brian Bruney called-out Francisco Rodriguez for his histrionics when he successfully saves a game. Rodriguez is arguably one of the best closers in the league, while Bruney is a journeyman, hopeful set-up man. Whether he has a problem with K-Rod's antics or not, at...

Not nearly as ridiculous as Giambi's 2008 stache, but I'll take it. Then again, I'm sure Yankee fans just want Bruney to keep his mouth shut and dominant the eighth inning.(screen shot via the great Fack Youk)
