Red Bull’s reality show should’ve been NASCAR’s reality show
Want to make Landon Cassill marketable? How about Travis Kvapil?
Easy. Make them the key players in NASCAR’s most unique team situation of the off-season.
Just make sure to televise it!
With Red Bull pulling out of NASCAR ownership, the question was who, if anyone, would purchase assets of that company and try to forge on. Now it looks like some ex-TRG investors/Burger King...

If you’re starting a team, what free agent are you choosing?
Whew, what an offseason it's been, eh?
But as Christmas approaches, silly season looks to be slowing down -- barring any sort of unforeseen driver or crew chief change. (We've certainly had a couple of those, haven't we?) There's only one officially open competitive ride, and that's the No. 43, which is now devoid of sponsorship because of Best Buy's move...

Offseason Hot/Not: Red Bull’s Unfortunate NASCAR Goodbye
Typically, in this space, we'd be talking about the most recent on-track NASCAR dramas (thanks, Busch brothers!) from the previous weekend's racing. However, the very nature of the offseason isn't very good about giving us material. And since I'm so dedicated to you, my three loyal readers, I'm not even going to take vacation while guys like Jimmie Johnson send...

Look back at the 2011 seasons of Ragan, Logano and Vickers
Every driver has highs and lows in a year, but rarely are those two in balance. For the next few weeks, we'll be looking at the seasons of all your favorite drivers (and, of course, your least favorite, too). We begin with three who didn't quite live up to their potential, and partly as a result, two are currently out of a job.
First, Brian Vickers of the now-defunct Red...

Red Bull not looking good for 2012
The demise was years in the making but may finally be here. Tom Jensen of Speed claims that today was the final day for the team to either be sold or restructured. While it’s believed there were numerous inquiries about the program, no one has stepped forward to purchase the team.
Team Red Bull was going to be in a tough position at the end of 2011 even if they were planning...

Matt Kenseth will wreck you in absolutely anything, anywhere
Check out Matt Kenseth racing Green Machines at Travis Air Force Base as part of a Gatorade promotion. The lucky fellow who won the chance to race Kenseth could have taken a lesson from Brian Vickers: you never, ever wreck Flatline with time still left in the race.
Yep, it's the offseason. How long till Daytona, again?

So we are down to it: The last race of the year. For some this might be their last race, period.

You Sure Can’t Tell That Brian Vickers Needs a Job
Brian Vickers the driver of the #83 Red Bull Toyota will be out of a job when the season is over, next Monday to be exact. Red Bull Racing is shutting down and selling either the Team or the equipment. At this point in the season they will probably be lucky to sell the equipment.
