Mavericks can't afford to ignore the NBA Draft any longer

Over the last few seasons, the Dallas Mavericks have failed to find significant contributors through the draft. While some of that is the result of the Mavericks always being in the playoffs, it does seem the focus has always been more on acquiring a big free agent than developing young prospects. As Nowitzki continues to age, the Mavericks may need to change that going forward....

Who is Spencer Hawes?

I’m ashamed to say that when the Charlotte Hornets made the trade to send Lance Stephenson to the Los Angeles Clipper for Spencer Hawes and Matt Barnes, I immediately said, “Who is Spencer Hawes?” I’m a sheltered NBA fan.  The Charlotte Hornets are my only true pro sports passion, so, of course, I let popular opinion sway my judgement of getting Spencer.  That’s really...

More Equals Less in Recent Sixers History

Last season, the Philadelphia Sixers gave minutes to an astounding 23 players throughout the course of the season. The season ended up being one of the most futile in Sixers history, where as a team they finished 19-63 which included a record tying 26-game losing streak. That’s correct, the team had less wins throughout the course of the year than players on its roster. The...

WATCH: Clippers mess with Jared Dudley’s headband

YouTube The Los Angeles Clippers started their new year by opening a can whoop-tail on the Charlotte Bobcats Wednesday, drilling them 112-85.  Then they opened up a can of whoop-tail on teammate Jared Dudley’s hand band. Clippers hunting for defense

The Clippers have always had the offensive weapons. Chris Paul can make any offense look incredibly strong with his playmaking ability. Pair him with Blake Griffin on the break or pick and roll and offense is going to be pretty easy. Add in Matt Barnes, J.J. Redick, Jared Dudley and even Byron Mullens with the ability to shoot, this is going to be a great offensive team. That...
