Should Girardi have gone to Mo?
As soon as Chad Gaudin came marching out of the pen for the 14th inning today I knew the game was over, and I'm sure many of you felt the same way. Sure enough, Gaudin walked the first batter he faced on four pitches and two batters later the game was over with Mariano waiting for a save situation that never came.I was on Twitter at the end of the game and many people, including...

Yankees Sign Chad Gaudin
There is an old saying in baseball about never having enough pitching depth. The Yankees just got another lesson in that.
The Yankees released reliever Chad Gaudin in spring training this year because they thought his price tag was not worth his depth. That’s when they thought they had plenty of depth. Then they got bad news yesterday...

Yanks re-sign Chad Gaudin
How inevitable was this move?
The Yankees have re-signed right-hander Chad Gaudin, who was recently released by the A’s, adding him to their bullpen as a long reliever. This is likely a reaction to the loss of Alfredo Aceves, as the reliever reaggravated a back injury yesterday that could ultimately lead to surgery. Presumably, Sergio Mitre will take over Aceves’ role in the...
