Cla Meredith to undergo Tommy John surgery
According to Mark Zuckerman of CSNWashington.com, Nationals' right handed pitcher Cla Meredith will undergo Tommy John surgery today in Washington.
The Nationals signed Meredith early in February to a Minor League deal with an invitation to the Major League Spring Training.
The right hander was 0-2 with a 5.40 ERA in 15 innings throughout 21 games with the Orioles in 2010.

Baltimore Orioles designate RHP Cla Meredith for assignment
According to The Sports Network via The Kansas City Star, the Baltimore Orioles have designated right-handed pitcher Cla Meredith for assignment. The team also has optioned Chris Tillman back to Triple-A Norfolk.
The move was done to accommodate Jake Fox onto the 25 and 40-man roster. Fox was acquired by the Orioles from the Oakland A’s earlier today.

Orioles: There's got to be a morning after
If you're keeping score at home, the Orioles made their 40th roster move since Opening Day when the club designated reliever Cla Meredith for assignment to make room on the 40-man roster for newly acquired Jake Fox.
Since the season is now 78 days old, that's and average of more than one player move every other day. I don't know if they keep track of the record...
