Brewers Pick Up Claudio Vargas from the Dodgers
In return for catcher Vinny Rotino.
Interesting move, considering the Brewers dropped him after a poor season in 2007. I'd be willing to bet that they'll name him the starter for one of the next two games in San Diego.

Carlos Lee Hits HR #300 In A Losing Cause
In the 7th inning, down 11-4, Carlos hit Claudio Vargas' 3-2 FB down the middle into the Crawford Boxes.
It would have been better if he had done this in the 5th with 1 out, 2 on instead of grounding into yet ANOTHER double play, but you can't always get what you need.
