No. 41 Oregon State Beavers season preview

Mike Riley returns for his 12th consecutive season as the Oregon State head coach and 14th overall as he coached the Beavers in 1997 and 1998 before spending three seasons as the San Diego Chargers head coach. Riley has put together a couple of satisfactory seasons while reaching two bowl games, but has managed to only reach 10 wins once during his tenure at Oregon State.  The...

A case of lost & found for OSU in Berkeley?

BERKELEY - Could Saturday’s game against California be a case of lost and found for the Beavs? Tight end Connor Hamlett is out with a leg injury -- but could the junior’s absence be just what Oregon State needs to develop some underutilized talent and reacquaint themselves with a missing component to their offense?

Physical Beavs lead 20-10 at half over Utah

OREGON STATE CAME out playing inspired football in the trenches against Utah, mauling the Utes in the first quarter on their way to a 20-10 halftime lead on the road. QB Sean Mannion was spot-on for stretches and Richard Mullaney and Connor Hamlett made some flat-out ridiculous grabs. But Utah fought back in the second quarter, and it's anyone's ball game still headed into the second half.

Oregon State Falls in Washington, 20-17

Expect air between Washington St and Oregon St

Saturday's game between Washington State and Oregon State could look a lot like the old pass-happy Pac-10. On one side there are the Cougars with new coach Mike Leach's trademark Air Raid attack. On the other are the No. 14 Beavers with sophomore quarterback Sean Mannion, who is throwing with confidence after a trying debut last season. Mannion was named the Pac-12 player...
