Chris Carpenter pitched another good game, allowing two runs over six innings, but the Cardinals could not hold the lead. Miguel Tejada singled and Darin Erstad doubled him home in the eighth, both hits coming with two out. Jeff Keppinger homered in the ninth as the Astros went on to a 4-3 win.
