What if Dave Roberts was caught stealing?
If Dave Roberts jump is a second later, Red Sox history would have played out a little differently.
This is the second of ten of Boston’s Bettah’s summer series of the 2000′s decades “What If?” moments. As the sports stories become fewer during the summer months, Benti will be taking a look at some of these moments and how he think it would have played out.

October 7. 2010: Day 2 of the Postseason…
Just some random thoughts as I calculate how many more days until Pitchers and Catchers (about 130, give or take a day…)
Watched about 9 seconds of the postseason so far, just enough time to check the score of the Skanks/Twins’ 1st game–at the time the Twins were up 3-0–so much for that, as they ended up losing 6-4…
But Doc Halladay made history yesterday...

"Around the Candlestick": New Blog Additions, LALA Land, Dave Roberts, Lewis and Jays Update
It's been a while since I have done one of these, so I figure it's time. Two quick points before I start this edition of "Around the Candlestick":1.) Interested to see how this road trip will go (I am always nervous when we play the Marlins).2.) Disappointing that the Cleveland Cavs might actually lose in the second round of the NBA Playoffs. Celtics could have...

Your 2010 Giants: April, Play Ball!
The goal, says Brian Sabean, is for the Giants to get off to a hot start. Or at least a hotter start than prior years, as each season started with a stumble, with a huge losing streak, losing roughly 6 games in the loss column. In prior years, Dave Roberts, as nice a guy as he is, killed the top of the lineup trying to play when he was clearly injured. Last season, no one to blame...

Soon after, the Tigers cut Gary Sheffield despite $14MM left on his contract. In '08, the Orioles cut Jay Gibbons and assumed his remaining $11.9MM. That same month, the Astros released pitcher Woody Williams despite...

In the middle of their September 2009 battle for the National League Wild Card title, the San Francisco Giants have little time to ponder next season. Fantasy Preview: San Francisco Giants
The San Francisco Giants have a putrid offense, and an emerging pitching staff with depth. But as with all bad teams, there are some nuggets of gold to find by the bay. This mix of young sleepers and undervalued veterans might actually produce more late-round draft value than any other team. More after the jump.
