We Are! 2013 – Penn State preview: The Cover Wars Begin
After much debate around these parts, negotiations have broken down. War has become the only answer to this massive question: which Penn State player or players will grace the cover of We Are! 2013 – A Penn State preview.
Today’s targets focused on two megaliths of the trenches: DE Deion Barnes, defended by Jared, vs OG Miles Dieffenbach, defended by Ben.

It was a post-season day as good a bowl game win
Maybe it wasn’t the same as going to a bowl game, but for Penn State fans Tuesday was as big as any bowl game this year could’ve been.
It was the day the Big 10 announced that Bill O’Brien won Coach of the Year over Ohio State’s Urban Meyer – and it was the day that O’Brien indicated that he would be staying at Penn State.
The Big Ten Network did a great...
Midweek Serenity: Hope Surfaces after Navy
Over the past few years, I’d been penning a book on the greatest Penn State football victories of the past four decades. While the closing chapter of that book certainly was less than exuberant (which was published in May with some post-scandal, post-O’Brien-hire information), this past Saturday was a fitting start to the next book on Penn State’s proud traditions.

Mauti & Barnes earn weekly B1G honors
While Penn State was busy dominating Navy on Saturday, the Big Ten thought Michael Mauti and Deion Barnes were particularly dominant. Mauti was named the B1G Defensive Player of the Week and Barnes was selected as the B1G Co-Freshman of the Week. Not too shabby to pile on top of the Nittany Lions’ first win.
Mauti racked up double-digit tackles for the second time this season...
Hageman becoming force for Gophers defense
MINNEAPOLIS University of Minnesota defensive tackle Ra'Shede Hageman is an intimidating figure. The Minneapolis native and redshirt junior stands at 6-foot-6 and weighs just a hair over 300 pounds.
Through two games in the Gophers' 2012 season, Hageman has been a force to be reckoned with on Minnesota's defensive line. He has three sacks, including two this past Saturday...

Past UGA Targets at Penn State
Several Penn State players and at least one current and in and in and we willcommitment have been on Georgia's target list in the past.
Class of 2013 tight and commitment Adam Breneman strongly considered UGA before settling on Penn State. However, Adam tore an ACL during a seven-on-seven camp in June. He will likely miss his entire senior season in high school.
Deion Barnes...
