Florida Gators: Contenders or Pretenders?

A story in the August 24th Florida Times-Union asked a simple but thought provoking question – “Can [Kurt] Roper fix the Florida Gators offense?”It is a question many other than sports reporters have asked since the former Duke offensive coordinator was asked to take the same position in the high-powered conference of the SEC.Consider that a major win for both the most important...

CFB AM: UF grad Billy Horschel gives Georgia fans the Gator Chomp

Was this past weekend perfect for Florida? No, but it was pretty damn good. First, the Gators escaped a crushing home defeat – and Will Muschamp avoided endless hot seat talk – by edging out Kentucky in triple overtime on Saturday. On Sunday, one of their own had the best day of his career and then good-naturedly stuck it to Georgia fans. Pro golfer Billy Horschel, a Florida...

Time to find out how K-State's inexperienced offense handles life in the Big 12
