Turnbow Update
The Marlins, Pirates, Tigers are the finalist for free agent pitcher Derrick Turnbow. Turnbow has struggled over the past three seasons, but owns a career 4.30 ERA in 257 appearances, making some think a change of scenery is all he needs. Rangers Sign Turnbow
MLB.com is reporting that the Rangers and free agent pitcher Derrick Turnbow have agreed to a minor league deal. Turnbow chose the Rangers because he is familiar with Rangers pitching coach Mike Maddux, who was the Brewers pitching coach while Turnbow was in Milwaukee. If Turnbow makes the major league roster, he will receive 925,000 plus incentives. This story was approved by MLB Rumors.

Marlins Buy Low on Derrick Turnbow
With their tiny budget, the Florida Marlins have to almost always buy low when it comes to free agency. On Friday, they made another such move when they inked reliever Derrick Turnbow to a one-year contract.
In 2007, Turnbow had 33 saves and only three blown saves while with the Milwaukee Brewers. That season, he had a 4.63 ERA and 84 strikeouts in 68 innings.
