Former Cleveland Cavaliers lottery selection DeSagana Diop airballed a free throw last night. It was fairly epic.
The best part may be that his second attempt went glass.
Over 10 NBA seasons after being selected eighth overall in 2001, Diop has averaged 2.0 points per contest. The 7-footer is making $6.5 million this year.

DeSagana Diop's Free Throw Air Ball Doesn't Come Close to the Rim (Video)
Charlotte Bobcats center DeSagana Diop scored only 1 point in Saturday night's 102-99 loss to the Washington Wizards. Diop had some trouble at the free throw line as he was 1-4 with his free throws, including one which was so bad that it came up a few feet short of the rim.
It's plays like this that explain why the Bobcats have only won three games so far this season...

Here’s DeSagana Diop With Possibly the Worst Free Throw Air Ball in NBA History
How bad was that free throw attempt by DeSagana Diop? I doubt that was even within 3-feet of the rim. Even if Diop is a 7-foot-tall center from Senegal, that is a poor effort on his part. No wonder Charlotte dropped a 102-99 decision to the nearly as pathetic Wizards tonight.
