Video: Pittsburgh Dad At Steelers 2014 Training Camp

Pittsburgh Dad has released his annual Pittsburgh Steelers training camp video and it includes bits with head coach Mike Tomlin and quarterback Ben Roethlisberger. Dad tries to give Tomlin a few of the Techmo Bowl plays that he drew up and I do like his wig idea for the defense. Check out that old school Duce Staley t-shirt. Too fuuny. Top 5: Best running backs the Eagles ever drafted

Running back is one of the most important positions on the football field. Fortunately for the Eagles, they have a long line of good ones who played for the franchise. Unlike the quarterback position, the Eagles have been relatively successful when drafting running backs. Since the late 1990s, their primary back has always been a guy they picked up on their own. Let’s take a look...

Steelers’ Last Two Trips to Lambeau Have Been Interesting

I can still see the ball off Neil O’Donnell’s hand. It was fourth and goal and the Steelers trailed the Green Bay Packers 24-19 the day before Christmas in 1995. Awaiting the ball was Steelers’ wide receiver Yancey Thigpen. He was all alone in the back of the end zone. There were just 16 seconds left when the play began. A touchdown here would ice the victory and would give...

Half-Assessment: Eagles vs Redskins

The Philadelphia Eagles beat the Washington Redskins on Sunday 24-16. It was their first win at the Linc since Taft was President. Look, they might have used it before and I probably didn’t notice it, but I’m attributing the win solely to the Fresh Prince play card, pictured above. Will Smith’s exuberant smile and flat top hair inspired the Iggles to victory.   Offense Nick...

3 time pro bowler Tra Thomas was officially hired as an offensive assistant by Chip Kelly and the Philadelphia Eagles. Chiefs' Charles should be next in line of RBs to shine under Reid

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. -- Duce Staley. Brian Westbrook. LeSean McCoy. If there's one thing coach Andy Reid's history with the Philadelphia Eagles proves, it's that he loves versatile running backs who are just as comfortable bursting around the edge for huge runs as they are setting up as wide receivers and hauling in rainbows down the seam. That role is now in the hands of...

Duce Staley believes LeSean McCoy “can be the best to play the game”

Philadelphia Eagles running backs coach Duce Staley believes LeSean McCOy can be the best to ever play the game of football. “He can be the best,” said Staley, per PhillyMag.com. “He can be the best to play the game.” I agree with Staley, there’s just something about McCoy that makes me believe he can be great.  In my opinion he’s already the NFL’s best running back...

Duce Staley Says LeSean McCoy “Can Be The Best Running Back Ever”

Duce Staley was a pretty good tough, hard-nosed running back when he played for the Eagles, so now as a running back coach, Staley has a pretty keen eye for talent and ability. Staley was talking to Philly Mag recently, and jumped on a limb for the Eagles current starting running back Shady McCoy.  While discussing LeSean McCoy, Staley put it out there flat-out, saying McCoy “could...

Monday Medicine: South Carolina Gamecocks

There were plenty of candidates for a dose of Monday Medicine after all the beatdowns in the Top 10 this weekend, but nobody needs it more than Gamecocks fans. South Carolina entered The Swamp with a shot at the BCS National Championship Game. They left Gainesville essentially eliminated from their division race (forget the conference or national championship) after an ugly throttling...

Westbrook Retires An Eagle

Brian Westbrook exceeded all expectations. An injury prone, undersized back out of ‘Nova? Yeah I’d pass on him too. Selected in the third round by Philadelphia Brian was a projected third-down back. Injuries to Duce Staley and Correll Buckhalter catapulted him into the starting line-up in 2004… And a problem was born. For the next four years Westbrook gave opposing defenses...

Said team owner Jeffrey Lurie, Tra Thomas is one of the best offensive linemen to ever put on an Eagles uniform.
