The Miami Heat lose Eddie House for a while
The Miami Heat will be without 33-year old shooting guard Eddie House for several weeks due to a knee injury. House played in 56 games (1 start) for the Heat last year and he averaged 17.5 minutes, 6.5 points, 1.6 rebounds and 1.1 assists per game. He shot 38.9% from three point range, so the Heat will miss his instant offense off the bench a little bit.

The Turbulence that is Eddie House's Playing Time
This season has not been the easiest for Eddie House. The 32 year-old point guard has struggled to find consistent playing time in the 12-man Miami Heat rotation, and his inability to distribute the basketball leaves him as a six foot one inch, two guard - not exactly the ideal hight. However, like House did with the other eight teams he has played for, he is still finding...

ASK IRA: Is keeping Eddie House good for the Heat?
Q: Ira, I read your story about Eddie House. You seem to be writing that it was good he came back. — Ed.
A: What I wrote was it gives the Heat a better sense of their roster heading into the lockout, now with nine players under contract for 2011-12 (if there is a 2011-12), plus the right to match offers to Mario Chalmers and a tender in place to first-round pick Norris Cole...

House Lighter In The Wallet
Eddie House of the Miami Heat is a little lighter in the wallet after what the NBA called an “obscene” gesture. House made the ‘big balls’ gesture after nailing a key three pointer in the Heat’s win over the Oklahoma City Thunder.
While I do think the fine is excessive, I don’t remember House doing things like this while he was at Arizona State.
