One thing Ray Shero was fantastic at was his ability to paint a great picture of certain guys in the Pittsburgh Penguins prospect pool. By painting these pictures, Shero was able sell guys high and he was able to create hype in the fanbase about these players, like Eric Tangradi, and we all know how that ended.

Here is our recap:
If you are looking for some real news on players that probably will never reach the NHL, @LGP_netwolf has you covered. His day one recap is here.
Prospect camp just doesn’t feel the same without Eric Tangradi.
What makes a true hockey rivalry (not one manufactured for TV)? The more bitter the hockey rivalry, the better. There has to be bad blood; the kind that comes from blood spilled and championships lost. There has to be a deep-seated hate that makes losing hurt the most. The Pens and Isles have such a history. I went back as far as 1975 to look at this rivalry. The two teams faced...
With the Winnipeg Jets power play struggling, Claude Noel, head coach Claude Noel made a couple of changes in an effort to give it a spark.
The Jets gave the third unit of Mark Scheifele, Michael Frolik and Eric Tangradi more work than usual, but the move that raised a few eyebrows came during the third period, when Dustin Byfuglien jumped up to forward for a pair of power-play...
On a day that began with the club’s head coach and star player in a very public disagreement, the Winnipeg Jets found consensus by night’s end Friday in the only place that really matters — on the ice.
Authoring one of the better all-around team performances of a troubled 2013 season, the Jets got first-period goals last night from Bryan Little, Olli Jokinen, Eric Tangradi...
Ondrej Pavelec made 41 saves and Bryan Little scored twice as the Winnipeg Jets beat the Nashville Predators 5-0 on Friday night.
Olli Jokinen, Eric Tangradi and Devin Setoguchi also scored for Winnipeg. Andrew Ladd, playing in his 550th NHL game, and Blake Wheeler each had two assists and Jokinen had one.
Little, Jokinen and Tangradi each scored in the first 8:23 of the game,...

Five biggest talking points from this game:
1. What will it be like for the Penguins when Malkin starts filling the net? He is snake-bitten a bit, but based on his career stats he starts picking it up in November.
2. Columbus isn't terrible. They just aren't ready to play with the big boys yet.
3. It is early, but if the playoffs started today...
Michael Frolik scored a pair of goals, and the Winnipeg Jets rallied to spoil Edmonton's home opener with a 5-4 regular season-starting victory over the Oilers on Tuesday night.
With 5:02 left, Eric Tangradi sent a beautiful backhand pass in front to Frolik, who snapped a 4-4 tie by directing his second goal of the night into the net before goalie Devan Dubnyk could get back...

Michael Frolik had a power-play goal, Carl Klingberg also scored, and Eric Tangradi assisted on both in the Winnipeg Jets' 3-2 preseason win over the Edmonton Oilers on Tuesday night.
Anthony Peluso added a goal for the Jets, who hung on for their first preseason win after building a 3-0 lead.
Mitchell Moroz started the Oilers' comeback with 3:29 left, with an assist from...

You may be asking if I'm off my rocker to put Eric Tangradi - a former second round pick in 2007 - ahead of the Jets sterling 2012 first round pick Jacob Trouba.
Hard, cold fact is: Tangradi has almost a full season on Trouba...
The playoffs are almost here and we're all checking out potential playoff match-ups. The Penguins have secured the top seed in the East, so they'll meet the 8th seed in round one.
If you look at the current standings, that means the Pens will likely face off against the New York Rangers, Winnipeg Jets, Ottawa Senators or possibly the New York Islanders in the first...

With all of the chaos and excitement that has taken place recently, it's easy to forget that there's also a hockey game on tonight.
No Iginla yet, but Malkin might be back.. Can the Pens hit 14-0 in March or will Eric Tangradi and...
Coming off another loss in which they blew a lead in the third period, the Bruins are faced with some tough news on the injury front today.
Defenseman and enforcer Adam McQuaid is reportedly going to miss 3-4 weeks with a shoulder injury he suffered in the first period of last night's game in a collision with the Jet's Eric Tangradi, leaving the team's defensive corps...
The Bruins’ injury issues continued Tuesday night and right into Wednesday.
B’s general manager Peter Chiarelli announced Wednesday that defenseman Adam McQuaid has a strained right shoulder, and the defenseman could be out 3-4 weeks.
McQuaid left Tuesday’s loss to the Winnipeg Jets in the first period after he was checked by Winnipeg winger Eric Tangradi. The hit sent McQuaid...

Can hope to escape."

Folks, let's be honest here. The game was over when Wheeler tied it up last night. You knew it. I knew it. And this fact raises an ego-shattering question in the collective heart of Boston...
Bryan Little scored a tiebreaking goal late in the third period, Al Montoya made 28 saves, and the Winnipeg Jets beat the Tampa Bay Lightning 2-1 on Thursday night.
Little slid the puck from in-close past goalie Anders Lindback with 4:08 to play. Winnipeg also got a goal from Eric Tangradi.
The Jets were beaten by the Lightning 8-3 on Feb. 1. This outcome was much different.

The new Die Hard probably would have gotten better reviews if they cast Craig Adams.
The Tangradi Affair took over this game story-wise and was a wet fart on the whole proceedings.
But we had to keep the engagement lively for the benefit of all that attended.
Hey Winnipeg it's so cold in you. We're sorry.

After the last Pens/Jets game, it didn't seem right to bash the Winnipeg Jets in our next gameday. And this is despite the fact that bashing the Jets is one of our favorite things in the world. But since the Pens lost, the Jets won and their fans were...
After a ton of speculation, it came to pass this morning. Beau Bennett is up with the Pens.
Bennett, 21, will be looking to make his NHL debut on Friday night at Winnipeg. The rookie forward placed second on WBS with 18 assists and fourth with 25 points in 35 games this season. Last month, he was chosen to represent the Penguins at the AHL All-Star...
Via the Pens:
The Pittsburgh Penguins have acquired a 2013 seventh-round draft pick from the Winnipeg Jets in exchange for Eric Tangradi, it was announced by executive vice president and general manager Ray Shero.
This essentially guarantees that Tangradi will score a huge game-winner against the Pens the next time they play in Winnipeg that will make Jets fans go nuts.
From the Penguins, certainly not unexpected:
NEWS ALERT: #Pens have acquired a 2013 seventh-round draft pick from the Winnipeg Jets in exchange for Eric Tangradi. pens.pe/XApZt5

So, this game was sloppier than a poop sandwich.
The most impressive thing was the performance of the Pens' team defense, compounded by the fact that they only played with five D for most of the game. They blocked unlimited shots and got goal-saving plays from Letang and Engo.
The offense is still somewhat of a disaster. Aside from Crosby, Malkin, and...
Just when you thought you were done with Canada, you had to go to a Sens game.

Things you missed while a work during the day:

Looks like Project Tangradi has been abandoned. From the Pens Report:
As noted earlier, the Penguins shuffled their lines at practice today with Tyler Kennedy moving up from the third line to play with Evgeni Malkin and James Neal in the top six while Eric Tangradi moved down to the fourth line to...
