Minor Moves: Alex Fuselier, Erik Turgeon

Two roster updates from minor league camp today. Alex Fuselier and Erik Turgeon have both retired. Fuselier was a 21st round pick in 2011, and spent the last two years in short season A-ball. Turgeon was signed in the middle of the year last year to provide depth in Bradenton. He turns 26 later this month, and is the son of Jamestown Jammers manager Dave Turgeon.

Minor Moves: Barrett Barnes to the DL, Pirates Sign Erik Turgeon

Catching up on some roster moves that took place yesterday in the farm system: **2012 compensation pick Barrett Barnes was placed on the 7-day disabled list. No reason was given in the press release, but I’ve learned that he’s out with a lower leg stress related injury. 4/26 Farm Report: Goeddel Shines In 1-0 Win, Tapia & Peavey Get Roughed Up

Come again you fool, the B-Mets did what? New Hampshire 16, Binghamton 3 By Tim Burns The Binghamton Mets lost mightily to the New Hampshire Fisher Cats on Thursday night at NYSEG Stadium by a score of 16-3. It was the most runs given up by the B-Mets this season, but luckily they didn’t set any new club records in runs allowed in a game. That dubious honor belongs to the 2003...

On The Road With Petey Pete: B-Mets – Part Two

On day two of my trip to Bingo, I am reminded of the words Julius Caesar presumably penned in 47 B.C.: Veni, Vidi, Vici. Translation: I came, I saw, I conquered. I think that sums up my triumphant road trip to Binghamton rather nicely. At least I came and I saw, and I guess I did conquer the cold, but it was the B-Mets that really did the conquering when they picked up their first...
