What the Hell Happened to...Randy Brown?
If you didn't begin watching basketball until the 00's, you probably aren't aware of what a game-changer this week's What the Hell Happened To Player was. Randy Brown was picked by the Sacramento Kings in the second round of the 1991 draft out of New Mexico State. His first four seasons he'd stay with the Kings and average around 16 minutes a night as a backup...

Debunking the Myth that Doc Won't Play Rookies
Sorry, but this needs to be written. Celtics fans are probably the most knowledgeable pro basketball fans out there, but the aspersions thrown at coach Doc Rivers by fans that he refuses to play young players, especially rookies really is misguided. It's the type of stuff i'd expect from bandwagon Lakers or Heat fans. Doc plays rookies. More than most coaches even.
Not one...

Fan Friday
Hello Celtics Fans. Thank you all for the great response to "Fan Friday". It will return next week, as I'm still currently connecting with fans and preparing future installments.
In the meantime, I'd like to share some "bonus-footage" from a fan I featured last season. His name is Drew, aka "The Kid with the Kicks". I met Drew at the Garden...

Former Celtics in Abundance on the Waiver Wire
Add Eddie House to the list of former Celtics who were released in the past week. The Heat just waived him, while the Thunder are putting the finishing touches on a buyout for his trade counterpart Nate Robinson. The Thunder didn't even have Nate in camp. Other Celtics getting the boot were Gabe Pruitt in Orlando, Gerald Green in L.A, and James Posey in Indiana. The Celtics have...

Boston Celtics E’Twaun Moore Is Working On His Game With Benetton Treviso: Can He Contribute In Boston?
ESPN
Boston had an interesting post that outlined the recent solid performance of one
E’Twaun Moore in a preseason game for his Italian League team Benetton Treviso.
It appears Moore had quite the solid shooting game with 21 points including
five of five from three point range. The
performance leaves many to believe that Moore has been working on his outside
shot in an attempt...

Green Target: José Manuel Calderón
We are lacking the same thing since this all started back in 2007. The Celtics need help at the backup point guard: Someone who can shoot the ball, someone who buys into the team philosophy and doesn't become a locker room cancer. Getting minutes behind Rajon Rondo hasn't been easy for anyone. We tried with Eddie House, Sam Cassell, Gabe Pruitt, Nate Robinson, Avery Bradley...

Grizzlies Attempting the "TA at PG" Experiment
Since the inception of the "New Big Three" era in Boston, Doc Rivers has donned his lab coat, conducting a series of experiments in hopes of yielding a reliable backup point guard for Rajon Rondo. There was Eddie House, a designated shooter stuck in a point guard's body, similar to the days of Dana Barros. Sam Cassell was brought in for the championship run. Gabe...

Avery Bradley checks in on wearing the Celtics green
After my initial reaction of slight disappointment and wondering if Bradley would be Gabe Pruitt 2.0 I researched more on the kid and I think he could end up being a great addition to the Celtics. I was bummed to see him miss Summer League, but I think he's going to turn some heads in Boston and as soon as this year. As I've told TB I can totally see Doc in post game interviews...

Ty Lawson Might Be Getting His Mack Daddy Vibe on With Natalie Nunn
Ty Lawson and Natalie Nunn: We’re not all that familiar with the TV show Bad Girls Club – former Boston Celtic Gabe Pruitt is, though – but a female on the show, Natalie Nunn, is supposedly dating Ty Lawson of the Denver Nuggets. [Rookie year highlight for Lawson - this dunk.] Nunn used to date Chris Brown, the guy who beat up Rihanna. Lawson still has a ways to...

Celtics get the 19th Pick in this year's NBA Draft
RealGMBoston (50-32) won a tiebreaker with San Antonio, Oklahoma City and Portland; San Antonio then won a tie-breaker with Oklahoma City and PortlandWell #19 is better than #22 and I much prefer the Celtics to draft before the Spurs as Pop usually knows what he's doing. Don't care about what position the draftee plays, just pick the best player available Danny. Hopefully we don...

One Last Vegas Story (The Best One)
It was just one of those mornings. I knew that the night before had been spectacular because I woke up in my own bedroom and, for a split second, thought it wasn’t. It was a relief to know that I made it back to my hotel room and that my boys were there too. Well, actually, one of my boys, Elram, was there, the other, JGant, was nowhere to be found. It was time for me and Elram...
