Suns' inconsistency preventing any quality
PHOENIX -- In an attempt to embrace this version of the Phoenix Suns, we're co-opting the spirit of an inspirational declaration once made by a guy who coached football around here.
The Suns are what you were worried they might be. Well, most of the time. That's how things are perceived when a team is consistently inconsistent.
Anyway, while passing the quarter pole of...

Three Keys to Phoenix Suns Surprising Win Over Portland Trail Blazers
Heading into last night’s game, the Suns were long shots to get their third victory of the season. At the time, they were playing against a Trail Blazers squad with the best record in the Western Conference and Phoenix hadn’t exactly played very well themselves with a 2-4 mark.
Those two things were immediately thrown out at first tip as the Suns got out of the gates...

Hakim Warrick
Warrick in his first 2 games has 32 points, 10 boards, and 2 blocks. The Suns don’t have many bright spots this season, but Warrick has been getting it done off the bench. He is only owned in 0.2% of ESPN, so basically not at all, so he is worth keeping an eye on.

Suns can't score, but Gentry isn't panicking
PHOENIX -- The beauty of this edition of the Phoenix Suns' offense is its capacity to transform almost anyone on the roster into an emergency go-to guy for one night.
But in the eye of even the most optimistic beholder, running sets to create pristine looks for Hakim Warrick and Ronnie Price suggests the potential for cosmic concerns on Planet Orange.

Phoenix Suns Offensive Struggles Continue in Blowout Loss to Philadelphia 76ers
Many Suns fans in the stands at US Airways Center on Wednesday night were probably wondering, “Is it baseball season yet?” Phoenix got down early in the game and could never recover in their 103-83 loss to the Sixers to drop their record to 0-2 on the season for the first time in 15 years.
The Suns might have put together one of their worst efforts on the offensive end...

2011-2012 NBA Preview: Phoenix Suns
The 2011-2012 season brings some interesting prospects for the Phoenix Suns. No longer are they considered one of the few teams across the league that have a legit shot at winning a NBA championship, but they are also probably aren’t bad enough to be considered one of the worst teams and get a top five pick in the draft.
Phoenix will once be headed by the veteran duo of Steve...

“It’s gonna be great watching the Suns suck this year.”
“Phoenix has nothing going for...

Poor Shooting, Turnovers Kill Phoenix Suns in Preseason Finale
If these two preseason games are any indication of what the regular season is going to be like, it is going to be a long season for Suns fans. Phoenix had a better defensive effort, but their woeful shooting caused the Suns to drop their second straight and last preseason game to the Nuggets, 110-85.

Suns look for positives after preseason thud
PHOENIX The CliffsNotes edition of the NBA preseason ended Thursday night for the Phoenix Suns, who escaped with some positive karma.
And we're about to spin (I mean really spin) through the golden moments of a 110-85 loss to the Denver Nuggets. Just give me a moment. In the meantime, some perspective from Alvin Gentry.

Defense Porous for Phoenix Suns in Preseason Opener
For a team that has said to have a new found emphasis on the defensive end of the court, the Suns sure didn’t show that in their 127-110 loss to the Denver Nuggets in their preseason opener on Tuesday night.
Phoenix’s defense didn’t prevent the Nuggets from doing much of anything. Denver shot just under 53 percent from the field and had three quarters where they...
