Agent: Jones was not in danger
Mark Berman
KRIV-TV
HOUSTON - Despite news reports and fan websites that said otherwise, the agent for receiverpunt returner Jacoby Jones, Kennard McGuire, told FOX 26 Sports that his client was never in any danger Sunday night.
McGuire said he did hear fans threaten Jones during telephone calls to local radio stations, but nothing beyond that.
However, McGuire took no chances...

Remember, It’s a Game
Trust me when I say this, but I was just disappointed when the Houston Texans lost to the Baltimore Ravens in the divisional round. Was I upset with the one blunder on a punt return by Jacoby Jones, that seemed to shift the tide of the game? Of course I was, but seeing what I have seen this morning from Texans fans is an embarrassment to the fan base.
After seeing some ugly comments...

2012 NFL Draft: Houston Texans Edition – Part 2
Yesterday I delved into the possibility of the Houston Texans pursuing a NT in the first round of the 2012 NFL draft. However, that was pure speculation as my best guess would be that the Texans would draft a wide-receiver in the first round.
The need for a receiver to compliment Andre Johnson was made glaringly clear this past season.
WR Jacoby Jones, who has become public enemy...

Houston Texans’ Jacoby Jones a No Show Against the Oakland Raiders
What made anyone believe Jacoby Jones could contribute in a big way while filling in for the injured Andre Johnson?Through the first four weeks of the season Jacoby Jones had only managed 7 catches for 91 yards. 7 catches through 4 weeks seems well off a quality pace especially when you consider that an injured Kevin Walter was on the sidelines nursing a shoulder injury during...

Five for Friday: Jacoby, timeshares, Foster's jacket
1. Something that seems true (and totally is): The Texans and Jacoby Jones are better off without each other.
The first time I ever spoke to Jones was back in July, during training camp. I was asking him if he felt any extra pressure to perform now that he'd gotten a new contract from the Texans. He dismissed that idea, and basically said he doesn't allow himself to feel...

Jacoby Jones Entirely to Blame for Houston Texans Loss?
Jacoby Jones has become Houston’s Most Wanted when it comes to football in the Bayou City. Perhaps rightly so…but perhaps not.
Jones decision to attempt to field a punt after it had bounced was a terrible mistake. Rather than making a great grab on the ball he instead engaged in an act of tomfoolery in which the ball bounced off of his helmet, off his hands, and into...

Jacoby Jones’ early fumble may have cost Houston a playoff win
Jacoby Jones' inexcusable punt-return fumble wasn't the reason the Houston Texans lost to the Baltimore Ravens in Sunday's AFC divisional playoff game. It happened with 11 minutes left in the first quarter, far too early for it to be the definitive difference between victory and defeat.
Don't tell that to Houston Texans fans, who will be playing games of "what...

This Pinball Catch by Houston’s Jacoby Jones is Too Much For Peyton Manning
It wasn’t until late in the fourth quarter of their Thursday night game against the 1-13 Colts that the Houston Texans were able to complete a conversion on third down, having gone 0-8 despite leading Indy 13-12. The Texans were finally able to nail that elusive third down conversion in pretty well the most unconventional way possible.
Facing a 3rd and 5 from the Colts’ 31...
