This may not be exactly correct but after some digging here are some numbers I found interesting.
Freshman or first year scoring averages....
Darnell Williams 17.3

Stanley Burrell 12.7
David West 11.7
Romain Sato 10.7
Dez Wells 10.4

I'm sure I'm missing some names.

Boston Celtics Brandon Bass Is Earning The Closing Minutes
One of the many question marks surrounding this season for the Boston Celtics was what player would be joining Rajon Rondo, Ray Allen, Paul Pierce, and Kevin Garnett for the closing minutes of the games. Previous guys like James Posey, Shaq, and Glen Davis all enjoyed a nice bump in their stats and made solid contributions to a winning team. Would it be Jermaine O’Neal and his...

Former Celtics in Abundance on the Waiver Wire
Add Eddie House to the list of former Celtics who were released in the past week. The Heat just waived him, while the Thunder are putting the finishing touches on a buyout for his trade counterpart Nate Robinson. The Thunder didn't even have Nate in camp. Other Celtics getting the boot were Gabe Pruitt in Orlando, Gerald Green in L.A, and James Posey in Indiana. The Celtics have...

Celtics likely to leave one roster spot open for free agent acquisition
The Boston Celtics expect to keep one of their four training camp invites, leaving one roster spot open to add a late buyout or remaining free agent.“I don’t know [if the Celtics will carry 15 players], I would say most likely not,” said Rivers. “There are guys still out there, unsigned. And we might want to sign them.”Pressed on potentially signing...

ASK IRA: Are the Knicks the Heat's greatest threat?
Q: How worried should we be about the Knicks? They signed Baron Davis and might add James Posey. I think they could be better than Boston this year. -- Jeffrey.

Boston Celtics reportedly satisfied with small forwards, not looking at James Posey
Perhaps Danny Ainge is looking for a shooting guard or a center, since the Celtics more or less don’t have a backup at either position. I’d still like Boston to pursue another small forward — read my post about the need for Marquis Daniels to remain healthy — but at this point Posey might not be as productive as Sasha Pavlovic (*dodges full beer thrown by Celtics fan*). And...

Your Morning Dump... Where Posey, Thornton and Stevenson are remote options to replace Green
Every morning, we compile the links of the day and dump them here... highlighting the big storyline. Because there's nothing quite as satisfying as a good morning dump.
And the market, as one NBA executive told CSNNE.com on Saturday, is "extremely thin."With only the veteran's minimum to offer, it becomes even less likely that the C's will be able to find...

Report: James Posey, Al Thornton Among Potential Replacements for Jeff Green, But Market 'Extremely Thin'
The Celtics have some decisions to make now that Jeff Green will miss the entire 2011-12 season due to an aortic aneurysm that requires heart surgery. The 25-year-old was a key component of the C's bench, and a lot was expected of him in his first full season in Boston this upcoming season. So without the former fifth overall pick, the Celtics may have to look outside the organization...

Boston Celtics Former Player James Posey Is Looking To Return To Celtics?
The Boston Celtics have been trying to replace the void left by James Posey since he left town after the Celtics won the NBA title in 2008. The Celtics just have not found a player that could play both forward spots at the defensive end and stretch the floor on offense. The Celtics just might be able to land James Posey one more time as boston.com’s Gary Washburn is reporting...

As expected, Pacers to use amnesty on Posey
For those who don't fully understand the 'amnesty clause' in the new NBA collective bargaining agreement (CBA), it essentially allows each team in the NBA to shred ONE existing player from their roster for salary cap purposes. This player must already be on an NBA contract from the date the CBA is brought into effect and the clause can be utilized at any time during...

Pacers Amnesty James Posey: In the Celtics Future?
The Indiana Pacers have been players so far in the NBA marketplace, acquiring David West from the Hornets and are in talks to acquire O.J Mayo from Memphis. Unfortunately for the Pacers, this means money saving cuts need to be made. Fortunately, for the Boston Celtics, it could be their gain.

Report: James Posey To Be Amnestied By Indiana
If Posey was to come back to Boston it'd have to be after he first cleared waivers, then cleared through the bidding process between all the teams under the cap. I expect that with his age and lack of production he'll make it through clean... but do the Celtics actually want him?
