Beavers (finally) land Dashon Hunt

Dashon Hunt kept the Oregon State Beavers hanging. The four-star cornerback from Westlake Village, Calif., long ago gave his verbal commitment to the Beavers, but on Wednesday he didn't send in his letter of intent until early afternoon. Hunt, who got offers from numerous schools, including Nebraska, UCLA, and Washington, had 32 tackles, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries...

Beavers crush Colonols 77-3

Markus Wheaton swears he didn't know he was close to setting Oregon State's school record for career receptions against lower-division Nicholls State. ''I was wondering why I was getting the ball so much,'' the senior receiver laughed after 12 catches for 123 yards and a touchdown in No. 16 Oregon State's 77-3 rout of lower-division Nicholls State on...

Finally An Oregon State Beavers Believer?

It’s been brought to my attention that I’m too tough on the Beavers.  Too negative, too condescending, and far too “real” in the midst of a feel good moment.  So in an attempt to square things with Benny, Bernice and any other predominant front-toothed rodent, I’ve decided to temporarily discard my alleged dark cloud of negativity and drink from a cup half-full in this...

James Rodgers was signed by the Falcons as an undrafted rookie out of Oregon State on April 30, but was waived as part of the team's final cutdown on Aug. 31. Oregon St. Beavers football history: *My* top 5 heartbreaking moments

Last four years filled with pain I picked a rough time to attend college. I graduated into a slumping economy, and jobs aren’t easy to find. Beavers wrap disappointing season

A series of unfortunate events undid Oregon State this season. From a fall camp besieged by injuries, to the season-opening loss to Sacramento State and the final 49-21 defeat to in-state rival Oregon in the annual Civil War, 2011 was the Beavers' worst season since 1997. Oregon State ended 3-9 overall and 3-6 in the Pac-12 Conference, finishing out of the postseason for the...
