The Canucks are back and looking to continue their roll against the Eastern Conference. Will Alain Vigneault and the Rangers have anything to say about that? Or will they just keep reminding us of that time they ruined our dreams? Read on to find out.
The Canucks kicked off their road trip with a decisive win against their Heritage Classic...
Class of 2011 forever!
Well, that homestand was a let down.
As the memories of that long road trip and the dominance of the Sedin/Kesler line fade, the Vancouver Canucks are stuck in a rut of playing well, but not good enough to win. It’s a familiar feeling over the past few years.
They’re in tough. We figured they might be over the summer, with realignment and regression playing...
The Vancouver Canucks will practice today at Rogers Arena to prepare for Sunday's 5:00 matchup with the Dallas Stars. Vancouver will be looking to snap a three-game winless streak on the second game of its six-game homestand.
Both Jannik Hansen and Dale Weise are said to be close to returning. Though Hansen wasn't exactly tearing it up before his injury, his speed and...
You would be inclined to look at the lineup the Vancouver Canucks put out at Rogers Arena Monday night and point out the obvious, which is to say there is absolutely no depth on this team.
And you'd most certainly be accurate. Sure they have some of their top nine forwards out of the lineup in Jannik Hansen, David Booth and perhaps even Jordan Schroeder, but even with all hands...
Vancouver Canucks head coach John Tortorella provided several updates after the team’s morning skate today. It’s not looking very good for the team as several players will be out for many weeks. He provided updates for Jordan Schroeder, Jannik Hansen, Dale Weise, and David Booth.
“Schroeder is out for two months and will likely require a pin in his ankle”, said Tortorella...
With the Vancouver Canucks seemingly short of quality forwards — given the injuries to Alex Burrows Jannik Hansen and the man who likely would have been the replacement for anyone injured in Niklas Jensen — you have to wonder whether they ever think about their decision to send Bo Horvat back to junior so quickly.
And you wonder particularly because of the early success enjoyed...

The Vancouver Canucks are on the home stretch of their 7 game eastern swing with a rematch vs the New Jersey Devils. Roberto Luongo vs Cory Schneider backstory aside, this is an important game in that a Canucks win secures a successful road trip. Travel won’t be an issue as the Canucks played in Long Island the game before.
David Booth was a healthy scratch fellow winger Jannik Hansen got injured and the Vancouver Canucks managed to get back on the winning track Tuesday night.
Brad Richardson scored at 2:16 of overtime to give the Canucks a 5-4 win over the New York Islanders.
New York centre Frans Nielsen had forced overtime when he scored on a rebound with 1:12 left in the third period.
The Tort Report
After a long summer of anticipation and a training camp full of promises, we’re finally at a point where we’re able to get an initial impression of the John Tortorella era in Vancouver.
After 10 games, the Vancouver Canucks are 5-4-1, which is good enough for fifth in the Pacific. It’s not a great start, as they’re out of the playoffs currently; but it’s...

The Vancouver Canucks' new offensive game plan was too much for the Edmonton Oilers.
Fast, aggressive forecheck and relentless puck pressure in all three zones are hallmarks of new coach John Tortorella, and it was all on display on Saturday.

Game one of the regular season featured the Canucks doing what they do best in San Jose – lose.
The score might have ended up a little unfair in the end but this team looked and played a lot like the team that got swept last spring – just this time with a worse third and fourth line.
Vancouver generated very little offense, took a handful of undisciplined penalties and...
