Jason Bergmann on Blue Jays' radar?

(by Mike Henderson) Jason Bergmann's engagement with the Washington Nationals has had its ups and, lately, its downs. Having exhausted his options, the Nats find themselves having to put his name on the waiver wire before sending him down or letting him go. Will he make it through waivers without being claimed?

I'll do Jason Bergmann.

I've got the time and I've got the beer, so let's get to know Jason Bergmann. You know, so I don't hate him without facts to back it up. Earlier this month, Boston signed Bergmann to a minor league deal. Bergmann was a frequent visitor to McCoy Stadium (And McCoy has certainly had its share of visitors) with the Chiefs. I remember him well as Some IL Reliever on a...

Jason Bergmann fades from the scene

(by Mike Henderson) Erstwhile Washington Nationals right-hander (and Expos draftee) Jason Bergmann is just three seasons removed from a near no-hitter. Having transformed into a durable and effective triple-A reliever, he may well get to continue his career in another team's system.

A star emerges? How about a good pitcher?

We said yesterday that we would learn a lot about Jason Bergmann in games like last night's game against the Braves. Nationals Designate RHP Jason Bergmann For Assignment

Needing a fifth starter, the Nationals called Scott Olsen up from the minors yesterday. Adding a fifth starter meant that the team needed to go from its early-season eight-man bullpen to a seven-man relief corps. The odd man out was thought to be rookie LHP Jesse English, but English impressed the Nationals the day before by throwing 2 2/3 scoreless innings in a game where the team...
