Tatum Bell available, “Broncos need to call me”

(Jeff Gross/Getty Images) With starting running back Willis McGahee out with an injury, Denver’s backfield has found itself in a predicament. Rookie Ronnie Hillman has shown flashes of speed and elusiveness but cannot pass block to save his life.  Fourth-year back Lance Ball has never been more than a so-so back and Knowshon Moreno has been inactive since Week 2. As of today...

2012 Denver Broncos Roster – Running Backs

Willis McGahee (AP Photo/Joe Mahoney) The depth at running back was a pleasant thing this offseason. I was disappointed that Xavier Omon wasn’t able to make a push for the roster, but I felt that Knowshon Moreno and his guaranteed money would be a major factor at the back end of the roster at running back. Jeremiah Johnson, I thought, had a better preseason than Moreno, but that...

Broncos push lead to nine

By Tim BrittonDENVER -- It's been a wild start to the game here in Denver, with both offenses moving the ball well in the opening period. The Broncos lead the Patriots 16-7, having scored on all three possessions thus far. Denver has done its damage on the ground, gashing the Pats for well over 100 yards in the first quarter. Willis McGahee, Lance Ball and even third-stringer...

Must see TV tonight: Tebow miked up for Bears game

Just got a sneak preview of NFL Films “Sound Effects” piece on Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow, who was sired for sound during the game Sunday against the Chicago Bears. What struck me foremost is how remarkably calm Tebow is during what we otherwise call “Tebow Time.” Crunch time. For instance, Bears running back Marion Barber III fumbled the ball away in overtime. Pandemonium...

Don't Wait For Waivers - Week 12

I skipped Week 11 for two reasons: 1.) my birthday left me too inebriated to write; & 2.) I could not find five players I genuinely felt good about stashing on the bench. In fact, Vince Young and No. 4 on this list below were the only two I liked entering last week, and obviously Young is worth owning in many leagues right now so it’s pointless to discuss him now as a good...

Fantasy Football Update- Check out Broncos RB Jeremiah Johnson

If your fantasy football team is getting gutted, as many are this season, you need to pay attention as to what is happening in Denver. The Broncos are a team which is running the read-option offense and looks more like the 1982 version of the Nebraska Cornhuskers than a 2011 NFL team. The problem is with the Broncos currently is that they are running out of running backs...
