Lightning sign Jerome Samson to a one-year deal

TAMPA, Fla. -- The Tampa Bay Lightning signed forward Jerome Samson to a one-year, two-way contract on Thursday. Samson, 26, played in 68 games for the St. John's IceCaps of the American Hockey League last season. He earned 27 goals with 56 points. A native of Greenfield Park, Quebec, he was second on St. John's in goals and third in points. He has played in 424 career AHL games...
