A Brief and Obvious Point About Allen Iverson Returning To The NBA
No NBA team really wants him.Because, well, he's an undersized shooting guard who gets murdered in the post, doesn't shoot for a high enough percentage, hasn't been a part of a winning team in years and years, doesn't sell tickets anymore, and doesn't make his teams win.Jerry Stackhouse has an NBA contact. (In Atlanta.) Tracy McGrady has an NBA contract. (Also...

Stack's new role -- small, but big
The scowl is gone from Jerry Stackhouse's face. It's been replaced by a smile. But make no mistake, the spirit is still willing.
"I've got a burning passion still to get out there and compete and play," said Stackhouse prior to the Hawks' Friday night game with the New Jersey Nets at Philips Arena. "But I'm realistic about what I need to be for...

Jerry Stackhouse Rocks The National Anthem
Although the Milwaukee Bucks were eliminated from the playoffs by the Atlanta Hawks today, Bucks guard Jerry Stackhouse definitely hit all the high notes on and off the court. Before game six of the series, Stackhouse sung the American National Anthem and pretty much rocked it.However, this isn't the first time that Jerry has performed the National Anthem at an NBA game. Here...

Stackhouse let go by Miami…Sign Dampier
In order for the Miami Heat to pick up a big body in the low post to replace Udonis Haslem, the Heat had to let someone go; they chose 36-year old veteran Jerry Stackhouse.
Stackhouse was a solid player and will find a job if there is an injury to a top notch player or a coach gets tired of dealing with a young guy, but he didn’t do much for the Heat and wasn’t going...

Why Do Recruits Choose UNC?
Because it’s awesome right? CBS Sports looks into the question for both UNC and Duke. As expected, current and former players alike attributed their decision to UNC’s rich history, the past players like Michael Jordan and gut feeling. For Jerry Stackhouse it came down to Duke signing Joey Beard?
Unlike Marshall, former Tar Heel Jerry Stackhouse did go through with his...

Jerry Stackhouse eye on the Bulls?
I do not have ESPN Insider but someone from realgm that Jerry Stackhouse did not fill the retirement papers and that he have kept an eye on the Chicago Bulls.
You can go to the ESPN rumors, and if you scroll down it have headlines. “Stackhouse eyes the Bulls.” But you got to subscribe and pay for the ESPN NBA Insider to read more details.
However, Terry Foster from...

Jerry Stackhouse Signs With Miami Heat As an Enforcer
If the South Beach NWO was looking for an enforcer they have signed one now.
Jerry Stackhouse who has to be at least 73 years old now, is known in league circles as not the one you want to play around with. With Mike Miller out until January with his wrist injury, Stackhouse will be glaring at opponents on the bench while Lebron is fighting with his twitter followers.
I consulted...

Atlanta Hawks: Camp Report Day 6
Could Jerry Stackhouse be the Hawks’ Alonzo Mourning?.
Normally, I’d say there are two things working against him: I’m not sure if Stack’s role would be very significant if he does make the roster, and he’s the new guy on a team whose main cogs have been together for a while.
But Stack has two other things working for him that could help him overcome...

Featured Video: Stackhouse Rams, Slams, Jams Duke In ‘95
If UNC wants to take down Duke in Cameron tonight, they might need a couple dunks like this from Harrison Barnes tonight. In 1995, UNC rode then-sophomore Jerry Stackhouse to a double overtime win over the Blue Devils.
Dickie V with the legendary call, says it all, “Look at him strut! Look at him dancing! Jerry Stackouse! He’s ramming, he’s slamming, and he’...

Video: Jerry Stackhouse fights Jeff Hornacek
It hit just before the deluge.
Right when the internet was in its infancy, because I
remember (seriously) reading about this fight on Nando.net. Performed right after
ESPN2 was established, so you could see it on NBA 2Night, but before the
ticker-driven ESPN News. No PtI, no Around the Horn, and no Twitter or YouTube
or Jose3030 to put up the mess as
quickly as it went down.

Jerry Stackhouse to the Heat: Fantasy Implications
Jerry Stackhouse to the Heat
Mike Miller has been ruled out until Janurary and the Heat moved quickly to add veteran swingman Jerry Stackhouse.
On paper Mike Miller is a much better fit than Jerry Stackhouse as he is a solid passer and 3-point shooter.
However let us not forget that Jerry Stackhouse is still Jerry Stackhouse.
This move in my view anyway increases the Heat’s chances...

Jerry Stackhouse May Get His Wish To Play On Miami Heat
According to ESPN.com, the Miami Heat brought 36-year old Jerry Stackhouse in this week for a workout after they learned Mike Miller’s thumb injury will keep him out for two months. Hawks Insider: New Hawks make strong debuts
Maybe Hawks' general manager Rick Sund knew what he was doing after all, even if fans have been joking for weeks that the addition of the likes of Tracy McGrady, Jerry Stackhouse, Vlad Radmanovic, Jannero Pargo and Willie Green would do nothing more than make the Hawks an Eastern Conference afterthought come playoff time.
But if their opening night performance -- a 106-70 thrashing...

Jerry Stackhouse on Heat release: 'No complaints'
Jerry Stackhouse appeared in just seven games and logged a mere 50 minutes of court time with the Miami Heat before they released him Tuesday to make roster room for Stack's former Dallas teammate Erick Dampier. Stackhouse -- possessing the Heat's lone non-guaranteed contract after only joining them on Oct. 23 -- says he can accept the reasoning behind Miami's choice.

Today in Philly Sports History: Stackhouse vs. Hornacek, 1996
The number of 90s high draft picks that didn't end up panning out for the Sixers is a long and humiliating one, including such inglorious selections as Shawn Bradley (#2), Sharone Wright (#6), Larry Hughes (#8) and Tim Thomas (#7). Jerry Stackhouse, the Sixers' #3 selection in '95 was actually probably one of the better ones, although a high-scoring, low-character swingman...
