Philadelphia Eagles - the team to beat in the NFC East?

I admit that I have been critical of the Philadelphia Eagles this offseason. After an 8-8 season, I had high hopes for improvements and enhancements at several key positions. The fact of the matter is that the Eagles were the worst team in the division last season. However, the more I look at the   more...

Kearse officially cut by Eagles

It's official: NFL Network reports that Jevon Kearse will be released, ending his stay in Philadelphia and its salary cap. It appears the Eagles are preparing to be very active in free agency. Asante Samuel may be a very real possibility. Lito getting plays off? Sheldon at safety? These all seem   more...

Kearse And Howard Trade Package

Jevon Kearse and Darren Howard combined for alot of salary and practicly no production in 2006 and 2007. I would be happy if the 2 combined for a 5 round pick in 2008. There are plenty of teams that are thin on the defensive line and could use 2 veteran's. I suspect Miami and Tampa Bay could   more...

What Cutting Kearse Means

The Eagles are usually way under the cap so cutting a veteran to gain $2.5 million under the cap can only mean they are trying to free up every penny they can. I can only speculate about the reasons. It may be a good sign of an aggressive off-season.

Eagles Off-Season To-Do List

We're three weeks away from the beginning of the official NFL off-season, when teams are allowed to begin making offers to players and teams. I'm very excited. Chances are that the Eagles will not be inactive like they have been in recent past. Similar to what I did in another article of mine,   more...

Defensive lineman Albert Haynesworth said yesterday that he is unhappy with the moves the Titans have failed to make this offseason. He feels the team needs help in a couple of areas, especially the lack of offensive support they have given quarterback Vince Young.

Eagles Free Agency, Draft, Etc..

Okay, so far this offseason we've really seen the Eagles go on the defensive. With the signings of CB/Asante Samuel, DE/Chris Clemons, LB/Rocky Boiman the team has made it a point to go out and get what they feel is necessary to make them more complete in order to get to that next level. Aside   more...

Eagles to Cut The Freak

In a move to free up more cap space, the Eagles will cut defensive end Jevon Kearse. NFL Network's Adam Schefter reports that Kearse was offered a pay cut by the Eagles, which he refused, so the Eagles will release the 9 year veteran and his hefty 6.46 million dollar salary.
