According to Brittany Ghiroli of MLB.com, the Baltimore Orioles have released outfielder Joey Gathright this morning.
Gathright, 28, has not played with the big league club this season. He has a career .263/.327/.303 in six seasons. He last played with the Cubs and Red Sox in 2009.

DeJesus has been diagnosed with a minor sprain and will miss 3-5 days while he heals his sore left ankle. A trip to the DL is unlikely but reserve him in daily leagues until he is able to return. Joey Gathright will start in centerfield while DeJesus is sidelined.
