Arizona Diamondbacks sign INF Josh Wilson
The Arizona Diamondbacks have signed infielder Josh Wilson to a Minor League contract, according to The Arizona Republic's Nick Piecoro. Wilson will report the Diamondbacks' Triple-A affiliate in Reno.
Wilson was cut two days after his 30th birthday (happy birthday!) by the Seattle Mariners on March 28, 2011. He played a career high 108 games for Seattle in 2010 and hit .227...

Jack Wilson and 2011
While it may not look so good in retrospect, the Mariners had the right idea when they signed Jack Wilson to a 2 year, 10 million dollar deal this winter. The 2010 club option attached to his previous contract was too pricey, and re-signing him for a couple of years on a reasonable deal was really the team’s best chance to hold down shortstop. However, it’s easy to see...

Mariners bring back Josh Wilson
Lost in the shuffle of Erik Bedard’s return and Jose Lopez getting shipped off to Colorado (more to come) was the announcement of Josh Wilson being brought back on a major league deal, for 1 year. My question is: Why?
There’s enough to like about Josh Wilson from a fan’s perspective. He’s versatile, he’s got a cute nickname, he can play all over the...

Amidst hot streak, Brewers roster changes again
MILWAUKEE -- When Josh Wilson learned Wednesday that he would be joining a new team for the 10th time in seven seasons he hardly blinked. For the well-traveled infielder, change has become the norm.Wilson's latest move brought him from the desert to the Dairyland in an instant when the Brewers claimed him off waivers from the Arizona Diamondbacks, but the opportunity to join the...

Brewers Claim Josh Wilson
The Brewers announced that they claimed infielder Josh Wilson off of waivers from the Diamondbacks (on Twitter).
The D'Backs designated Wilson for assignment on Monday. The journeyman infielder has a .227/.280/.315 in parts of five seasons with the Marlins, Nationals, Rays, D'Backs, Padres and Mariners. Though he's primarily a shortstop, Wilson has appeared at every...

Ja. Wilson’s Latest Injury, Mariner Outlook
As mentioned over the weekend, Mariner shortstop Jack Wilson broke the fifth metacarpal in his right hand in an off the field incident. The team said that he slipped and fell in his bathroom, but given that the fifth metacarpal is commonly broken in punches that don’t connect quite as planned, it’s easy to think that Wilson, in a season full frustration, might have...

Position Analysis: SS
It is difficult for me to find anything positive to say about the Mariner’s organizational strength at this position. There simply isn’t any talent here with the exception of a couple kids who’ve never made it above A ball and are still years away from being able to contribute anything to the major league club.
