Heyman's latest; Manny & Fuentes....

I'll admit it, watching Manny be Mr. Clutch for the Dodgers makes him a very tempting acquisition but at the amount of years he wants it's a hard pill to swallow. There's no way he's going to stay happy for the entire contract at 5-6 years and at some point he's...

Mlb_jun_14_579d
Jon Heyman takes a look at who is or isn't likely to clear waivers and become possible trade targets this month. Texas seems less likely to get involved in a waivers deal than it did last month, but if injuries mount in the rotation, the club could revisit at a few names on this...

Zambrano Gives Thanks

In what I consider a shocker, Barry Zito has agreed to a deal with the San Fransisco Giants. What's not the shocking part is the money, Barry will get a reported 126 million over 7 years with an option for an 8th year giving the total deal a possible 137 million value. It's...

Yankees Part of Free Agent Confusion

The blogosphere is having a bit of an issue today. First it was reported that as part of the CBA the Yankees were at the maximum amount of type-A or B free agents they could sign. This meant no chance of signing Manny Ramirez, Juan Cruz, Ben Sheets, Adam Dunn or Oliver Perez. But then...
