Green Targets: Kelenna Azubuike & Chris Wilcox
The needs of the Celtics have been well documented on this site and we are all in agreement that size is the biggest concern with bench scoring next on the list.
As the free agent market opens up officially today and is drying up by the second, lets discuss two lesser names that many are not talking about in free agency.
Kelenna Azubuike and Chris Wilcox.

Are you ready for some "Kentucky Wildcat Pros vs Kentucky Villians" basketball?
Seems that the Kentucky Pros are not ready to hang up their jerseys yet as WKYT is reporting on a possible "Kentucky Pros versus Kentucky Villians" basketball games or series. Sounds like a fantastic idea and I am already pumped for it. Rajon Rondo, Nazr Mohammed, Tayshaun Prince, Chuck Hayes, Jodie Meeks, DeAndre Liggins, Josh Harrellson, Eric Bledsoe, Patrick Patterson...

Upon NBA Lockout Ending, The Los Angeles Lakers Should Pursue Kelenna Azubuike
As of now, the NBA lockout is still in effect, meaning that no acquisitions or player movement can be made and teams will face at least a $1 million fine if coaches or team personnel contact their players.
In other words, the NBA is closed for business.
However, the lockout will eventually come to an end and the Los Angeles Lakers have two gaping needs they need to address.
In addition...

Warriors Purchase D-League Team
In an effort to develop their young talent and potentially acquire some more, the Golden State Warriors are purchasing the Dakota Wizards of the NBA’s Developmental League, giving them full control of the minor-league team. From CSN:
” The Warriors and Sacramento teams used the Reno Bighorns as their affiliate this past season. The Warriors are now one of four NBA teams that...

Kelenna Azubuike Back to the Golden State Warriors?
Nothing is official. No talks have been made. This is just a thought I had while thinking about the Warriors. I am sure many out there think I am nuts for suggesting this and I probably am but hear me out.
Azubuike recently had a knee surgery to fix the mistakes made in the surgery he had in 09. Needless to say the guy has not played since then. The Warriors had traded him to the...

Agent Selection Scenarios: Kentucky Basketball
This Friday will make or break my bracket. Going into the NCAA Tournament, I knew I would have to make a bold move in order to have a chance at winning, but I wanted to pick a team I thought legitimately had a chance of making it to the Final Four. That team is the University of Kentucky, which I believe has the talent to make it to Houston, but has to beat a very powerful Ohio...

Kelenna Azubuike to have knee surgery to fix first surgery
This just sucks. If you remember Kelenna Azubuike from when he was healthy with the Golden State Warriors, you remember saying to yourself “they may have something here.” Crazy athlete who was perfect for an up and down game. A guy who came to the Knicks in the David Lee trade and could have been…

Mavs to sign Brewer
Twitter / Marc Stein: Just filed to ESPN.com: Ma ...
Would have been a nice young piece to add to the team. His defensive advanced stats are off the charts and he showed last year he can shoot the 3 ball (think a more athletic Bruce Bowen). Oh well it was fun while it lasted. Now we have to go back to teaching Wafer the importance of defense. I expect the Celtics to still sign...

Will Brown Eventually Play?
Posted in TextI’ve been getting a lot of tweets and emails from people who don’t understand the signing of Derrick Brown and are dumbfounded by the decisions to cut Kelenna Azubuike and Corey Brewer.
I can’t shed much light on either decision other than Brewer hasn’t developed into the offensive player that Minnesota had hoped when they drafted him 7th overall in 2007. Truth...

Knicks waive F Brewer, claim F Brown (AP)
The New York Knicks have waived forward Corey Brewer and claimed forward Derrick Brown off waivers. The Knicks, who cut guard Kelenna Azubuike on Monday, have been tinkering with their roster as they try to find some size for the stretch run. Brown was waived by Charlotte last Thursday. The 6-foot-8 forward averaged 3.4 points in 10.4 minutes per game over two seasons with Charlotte after being...

Knicks buy out and waive Kelenna Azubuike
Knicks fans should robbed. Kelenna Azubuike was potentially a great fit in Mike D’Antoni’s system. But the torn patellar tendon that robbed him of most of last season with the Warriors (he came east in the David Lee trade) has kept him off the court this entire season. Monday night the Knicks bought out his…
